Description: We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.

“Great setting!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

The appetizers and wine was delicious. My husband had the beet salad and I had the Deviled eggs which were good and an interesting presentation. Entrees ok..I had the duck and my husband had the lamb rack. Not much taste on either. Dessert which was a small cake was very good but pricey for it.
I would definitely try again when in the area but maybe just have appetizers.

“Questionable”

They were surprised to see us, and we had called ahead. This is a very nice & pricey kind of place. I am sure the wine is amazing

“Dinner marvellous, wine tasting not so much”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

Went to Farris winery on October 6 for wine tasting and dinner. The person conducting wine tasting was VERY inexperienced and lacked knowledge. Two oz is too much for wine tasting. Very dismissive and inappropriate for sophisticated setting. Avoid the white wines. Some of the reds okay. Have to pay for tastings EVEN if you buy 6 bottles as we did. This is NOT a NAPA or Niagara experience. The dinner was marvellous and more than made up for the wine. Escargots, pates, coq au vin! Exquisite. Enjoy the meal but order water.

“Wonderful ambience, good food and excellent wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

The restaurant is surrounded by the vineyard, that shelters it from the road and neighbors. The food was very good, the grilled cornbread that comes with the pork chop was tasty. There was a difference in portions between the selections - the halibut and the lamb were just the right size, the pork chop was huge, but still tender. The Riesling was delicious - nice and smooth, clear. It was a wonderful way to end the day. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Wow! Feel like dining in Napa Valley.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

Sophisticated French bistro menu with locally sourced ingredients. Charcuterie and cheese were wonderful. Duck and lamb were well prepared. Liked their Pinot Noir, however it was pricy, $50 a bottle. Lovely outdoor seating to look at the sunset. Never thought there was a winery in Lexington. Overall a great experience, however it's not cheap.
