My family stopped for dinner after learning the place was featured on one of the shows we enjoy, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We all loved the food, especially the beef brisket dinner and the mutton sandwich called the Dipp. Decent beer selection. Very reasonable prices and attentive wait staff.

Place was empty on a Saturday night. They were out of both dishes we wanted to order. Our food was cold. I had the smoked turkey - the hospital I work in has better turkey in the cafteria. My fiance ordered the brisket which was good, would have been great hot. Corn muffins were good too. Waitress was friendly but its not worth the price or the hype. They accept credit cards but only take cash for tips.

Totally empty at 4PM on a saturday! Was a DDD visited place, but not worth the sidetrip off the interstate!!

Friendly, attentative waitress, average menu with average food, at an average price.

Had the BBQ goat. Very earthy and tasty, as was my son's smoked pork tenderloin. The sides were average though. Boiled, wet beans weren't as tasty as they could have been. BUT - the cornbread muffins were amazing!

While visiting Lexington, we looked up JJ McBrewster's of Drive in, dinner's and Dive's fame. We were very surprised at the great location. The place was certainly no a Dive, it was clean and modern. The staff took time to explain the menu and various combinations of items available. They even recommended we order our dishes "dry" and add the sauce we preferred. All four of us ordered something different and all were pleased. The brisket and the pulled pork seemed to be the favorites but there were no complaint and everyone cleaned their plates. I would definitely go back again and again.
