What a wonderful experience we had touring Waveland. Our guide, Michelle with assistant, her 14 year old son, taught us so much about the mansion, the grounds, the period in Kentucky history. And they really made the history come to life.

The docent (June) was really great with her knowledge of the history of not only the house and property but what was happening during the specific period in history. Excellent historical residence which has been well maintained. For the locals (and tourists if there when done) there are activities offered which show crafts done in the 1800's. Great and inexpensive place to visit.

This tour a bit smaller than what I have come to expect of a plantation tour (those have been further south), but it was great! Our guide was well educated on the grounds, the family, and the slaves that had been on the plantation. It was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend, I don't want to tell a lot because I don't want to spoil the experience!
