“Yum!”

Delicious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. The menu is on the small side but this is not a chain restaurant and the food is fresh. We enjoyed the shrimp scampi and the beef tips in a cajun alfredo sauce. Even the seasonal vegetables side dish was a fresh take on a tired standby.

“The new "Best in Town."”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

We dined at Midtown on their second day of business and were nearly overwhelmed with the joy of of finally having a chic, sophisticated restaurant with a touch of European atmosphere right here in our little town. The owner has assembled a great team and has developed a menu offering truly fresh fare- and there's not a deep-fryer on the premises.

My wife had an avocado bisque for a starter and I had the greens with blueberries and feta. Both were unique and delicious. For the main course she had the beef tournedos which was very tender and seasoned very well. I had the Greek burger which featured olives and feta cheese worked into the patty and dressed with tomatoes, cucmber and tzatziki sauce. (We heard another lady compliment the staff on a strawberry soup she'd had and immediately wished we'd tried that too.)

For dessert we shared a piece of cheesecake the owner had developed using a family recipe from the old country and it was remarkable. With dessert we had coffee which is ground and made to order. Although the barista doesn't, at this time, offer specialty coffees, the coffee we had was very well done.

With one visit to this beautifully restored structure we have found a new favorite place and no longer feel we have to drive all the way to Louisville to get a great meal.

By the way- we had a tour of the rooms which make this place an "inn" as well. Very well done rooms that look clean, fresh and inviting.
