Wonderful place, wonderful hostess, wonderful food, and wonderful new friends!! Unplugged, quiet, removed, and serene. Barbara is as sweet as they come, and cooks a meal that you won't forget. My friend and I were there for a writing retreat and can't wait to go back!

Took my wife on a weekend trip from Louisville- little under two hours to get there. The food and accommodations were amazing. Breakfast and dinner should be on everyone's itinerary. I highly recommend Snug Hollow.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Snug Hollow and looking forward to staying again soon. Barbara and her staff were friendly and courteous and made us feel like we had known them for years. It's the perfect place if you want quiet, peace, and nature or just need to get away. The food was great and would highly recommend Snug Hollow to everyone!

Snug Hollow is the most quiet, peaceful, calm places that we have ever stayed. Anyone that needs rest, good sleep, excellent food should stay at Snug Hollow Farm. We stayed in the Cabin by the Creek and it was very clean and comfortable. If you make dinner reservations, which I highly recommend, when you hear the dinner bell ring it is just a short walk to the main house for one of the most delicious dinners you will ever have, made from local ingredients and from food grown on the farm. A big country breakfast is included with your stay. Great Place!!

Three of us stole away to Snug Hollow Farm for a much anticipated getaway. Never would I have expected the magical experience we would have. Winter hiking under circling hawks, warm fireside chats, and simply incredible meals all made for a more than memorable experience. Barbara and her wonderfully talented staff wrapped us in laughter, poetry, and song. Snug Hollow Farm is a piece of heaven! I highly recommend it.

Though it has been a long, snowy winter, we didn’t have enough time to fly to the sunny south. However, we did drive south to Irvine, Kentucky to an uncommon B & B in the mountains. As we arrived at Snug Hollow Farm Bed & Breakfast, we were quickly and warmly greeted by our host Barbara. While she was finishing up a conversation with another couple, she suggested we take a tour of the house. My husband immediately summed it up by suggesting that it reminded him of his grandparent’s rural farm house - including the warmth and appropriate era furnishings. For our stay, however, my husband had booked one of the cabins. The interior was open, casual, comfortable, and nearly perfect for our get away weekend. We spent our days
talking, resting, reading, and hiking around the expansive and beautiful property in the snow (our hiking poles and Yaktrax walkers were helpful).

The highlight of our stay, however, was the cooking provided by Barbara and her friend Brenda. The meals were plentiful, beautiful, and delicious. After my husband booked the trip, he discovered our meals would be vegetarian. We hesitated briefly, but decided we were up the the culinary adventure. We were completely overwhelmed by the quality and the quantity of the food. We were pleased we requested to have our dinners at Snug Hollow also. Walking into the farmhouse each evening we were greeted by the fabulous scent of dinner being thoughtfully prepared for us. We considered ourselves exceedingly fortunate also that it was a relatively quiet weekend for the B & B and Barbara had a few minutes to sit down with us at each meal and we were able to get to know this wonderful, interesting, and hard working woman.

My husband and I are hoping to return to Snug Hollow in the not too distant future so we can experience another season in this beautiful spot.

I can honestly say that since our return, I have given more thought to our get away weekend than any other we have experienced in our many years traveling together. Snug Hollow is a unique experience.

This place is simply magical, pictures and reading reviews can't come close to describing how special this Inn is. Barbara, is the most thoughtful host who makes you feel special and right at home from the second you get there. It's so peaceful, relaxing and the food is unbelievable. I wasn't sure what to expect with the vegetarian menu but it far exceeded my expectations. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 20!!! I can't wait to go back!
