Monday night ... Usually a quiet night in any any pub, but not The Bell, we arrived just after 7pm and there were already people eating, our table was by a very welcoming log fire. We started with a pint of Doom Bar .. good choice.. and a large glass of the house wine, which again was very good.
We chose locally produced Gammon Steak with chips and Stuffed Pork in a Stilton sauce for our main course and this came with dauphinoise potatoes and a selection of fresh vegetables, all beautifully cooked and served on hot plates. !!! Really there was no room for dessert but we couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding and the brioche bread and butter pudding with custard ..
A very pleasant way to start the week .
