Spent weekend 24/1/14 in one of the lodges and were delighted at the high standard of the lodge and its furnishings. It was immaculately clean, felt very cosy, and well stocked with lots of extras which you do not normally get when self-catering. Also a big plus was electric was in with the price, so no feeding meters all weekend. Went for the lodge break but impressed with what else was on offer.
Typical Scottish February weather Rain and more Rain but still managed to go on one of the nature trail walks (wellie walk) saw the fishery with 3 ponds and little huts for fishermen, had a look round chilrens farm park which in dry weather is all parent could wish for - happy children enjoying outdoor activites.
Grandaughter of friend who was staying in lodge went on pony trek ride and even in rain enjoyed herself. Lovely to walk round and see the horses and watch the riders in the indoor and outdoor spaces.
If staying in a lodge the farm park is free otherwise there is a charge but still value for money.
Also very pet friendly which I think is a big plus. Go and have fun day out
