“Perfect for a few days break”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

My husband and me spent there New Year's Eve and few days before.
The New Year's Eve everthing was according to plan and perfect - dinner, wines, music (two piano concerts) and fireworks show at midnight.
Food was excelent during all our staying (we had got HB option).
We spent few hours in swimming pool - not too crowded, water was at the nice temperature and some bubbles and massage devices let us enjoy the time there.
What should be improved?
Our room was in outbuilding part of the manor (oficyna) - the (short) way to this part of the hotel is not illuminated enough and when we arrived nobody showed us the way to the room.
The temperature in the bathroom in the room we were offered was terrible low and we had to call to the reception to get another room. I understand that it could happen, but in fact all the staff had known the problem earlier and despite that, they offerd us this room without any explanation.
Fortunatelly the room had been changed in few minutes without unnecessary discussion.
Another problem was the late hours of room cleaning up. Because we spent a lot of time outside (surroundings is fine for walking and trips although you need a car to reach most of places) it didn't disturb us a lot, but when we were offered cleaning room at 5 pm at the New Year's Eve - we refused.

Room Tip: Don't choose the room 206 in the outbuilding although you prefer extremly fresh air instead of t...

My wife and I stayed recently at the Kombornia, and while it has the basic qualities needed for a 4 star hotel it needs rather a lot of small improvements to really justify its rating. A few examples: Our superior double room was lovely. Except that the curtains came nowhere near fitting the window, and moreover were made of thin yellow material so we were awake with the sun at 5 a.m. The towels were of poor quality; worst of all, the water was barely warm enough for a shower, and nowhere near hot enough for shaving.
The "bar" was not in a user-friendly area, looking more like a breakfast room with white-clothed tables and not a sofa or coffee table in sight.
We had breakfast outside, but the management had not thought to tell the noisy tractor-lawnmower to wait until after breakfast time before mowing the lawn next to us!
As far as food is concerned, dinners were excellent, but the breakfast choice was most definitely not 4-star. Apart from frankfurter-type sausages, there was no hot food offered, except on the second day when the waitress offered us specially-made scrambled eggs - which were delicious. I wonder why we were not offered this on the first morning.
So - a lot to be done, and if we had ever caught sight of a manager we would have been able to tell him directly.

Room Tip: Check curtains before accepting the room offered.

I've organized my wedding party there on 15th of June 2013. Event was attended by about 100 people from all over Poland. Everything was pretty much perfect; staff was friendly, food - despite vast amounts - was superb, rooms and facilities were great. Additionally, big garden, couple of small lakes and lots of trees made Kombornia a great choice for such an important event.

As for the drawbacks - well , the location is troublesome as far as guests from Central and Northern Poland are concerned (pretty bad and long road - about 350 km from Warsaw). But from Cracow and other parts of the country - it is managable. That would be it when it comes to this place's disadvantages.

All in all it's worth visiting and making an effort to drive / fly there. The stay is absolutely to be recommended.

Thumbs up and keep up the good work!

Room Tip: Higher floor, especially in the main builing

I`ve stayed here twice with my girlfriend! Very silent and romantic place to stay at, with nice, spacious rooms, friendly staff. We will be back again on some weekends.
Realy one of the best boutique, SPA hotels.
Thank you!

Room Tip: Junior Suite! Very nice choice!

This place could be excellent but for us it was not.

The hotel itself looks stunning. Even the service was good. At least they tried and did their best. Very young personnel.

Our room was good but very dark colors made the feeling a little bit cramped. Slanted ceiling was very unpractical. And there was no blackout curtain! Bathroom was stylish but dark. A very good rain shower though. The room was spotlessly clean.

The biggest issue was the restaurant. They have two restaurants but it appeared that they have the same kitchen. One restaurant is for fine dining, the other more informal. We chose the informal one. In the menu they had many options but in real many of those options were unavailable. Maybe they should have printed more accurate menus... The food was good and the prices budget.

The breakfast was amazingly good. Full of tempting options and they had so tempting cake that we had to have it. And we never have cake for breakfast!

This hotel is very remote and in this case it is a good thing. It is very peaceful.

Room Tip: For more space ask for lower floor rooms.

Kombornia is a great place to stay: clean and tidy, with excellent cuisine, and with very friendly staff. The kitchen chef is an absolute magician. While the swimming pool is not huge, it is cosy and sufficient to do lap swimming. There are period in a day where you have it all to yourself. Conveniently located, it can be a starting place to explore the wonders of the Bieszczady Mountains. For walkers, it is a true paradise.
