We stayed in Unit 113 and found it very clean, decorated tastefully and had everything a vacation renter would need. It had a good view of the lake and marina. We were there in early March, so there was not the hustle and bustle of summer, but the facility was great.

I recently had the opportunity to stay in one of the condos at Green Turtle Bay while in Grand Rivers, KY. The condo was amazing... It had a large full kitchen and dining area, a living room with a large flat screen tv that hung over a gas fireplace, a big back deck that had a great view of the lake, and 4 very nice bedrooms. Each bedroom had a queen to king size bed with plush bedding, a flat screen tv, and it's own full bathroom which was very convenient considering we had 7 people in our group! There are many amenities offered at the resort, including a very nice spa and fine dining at their yacht club! Overall, if you are looking for a weekend getaway with beautiful scenery and all the comforts of home, I would definitely recommend taking a trip to the Green Turtle Bay Resort!

Room Tip: We stayed in 506 and it was great! It had the feel of a beach party pad! Fun decor!

This place is the best for family vacation specially if you have small kids. We rented a lake house with 4 bed rooms and each room had their own separate bathroom. There is plenty of things to do just by staying in the resort. You can take your kids out to the marina, walk around there and feed the turtles. You can also rent a pontoon boat and a speed boat for going around Kentucky Lake. They also have an indoor gym, indoor swimming pool and ship store. If you want to shop around you can go to the Pink tractor and dine in at Patty's Settlement there is plenty of things to do that is fun for everyone.

Room Tip: We had four families under one roof so our bill was a lot cheaper. We also split the bill for boat r...

Our family rented 2 - 2BR condos at different areas of the comples. Both had nice views. One was not as well maintained on the outside but the interiors were clean. Decor varied as each unit is individually owned. Linens were clean and of decent quality. Kitchen appliances that we used worked ok. Price was comparable to resort areas on beach resorts but seemed steep for a small town in KY. Pools and play areas appeared to be ok. No swimming areas noted. Lots of boats around as would be expected for a marina.

The $ we spent on our room at Kentucky Lake was well worth it. We had condo #317 which was 2 BR, 2 BA. What is nice is all of the condos are not adjoined/detached from one another, so you don't hear people running around or slamming doors above you or beside you. Every condo has their own deck and grill. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Check in and check out was easy. All amenities were very nice. If you are staying more than 1-2 days I would rent a golf cart...especially if you have kids. We only stayed 2 days so a golf cart wasn't necessary, although we did check on getting one when we got there and they were all taken...which wasn't a problem. Also the boat rental place was great also. We rented a pontoon boat and everyone was nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and refer family and friends to stay here.

My wife and I recently stayed at the GTB Resort, impressed with the representations on their website. The minimum stay was for two nights.

Our "condo" (basically a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bath) was no better than an upper middle class motel. The fixtures were cheap, the vent and A/C were very noisy. Our rooms faced east, with no blackout curtains, so when the sun came up at 5:45 AM, there was not way to sleep. But just to make sure, someone came by to work on the A/C at 6:50 AM. The furniture was very old, cheapest possible, white-washed stuff. There were lots of little signs about not stealing their plush towels (PLUSH? Puhhleeze! You could see through the washcloths, the towels were so coarse, they felt like a facial peel), $25.00 if you lost one of the room keys, money tacked on your bill if you don't load your dishes in the dishwasher, etc.

The food at the yacht club was just average (with canned vegetables, not fresh), although the service was excellent.

We have stayed at resorts throughout the US and Caribbean, and this was probably the worst. In fact, we didn't stay for the second night, and wouldn't have stayed if they paid us to. Not up to our standards, and definitely not worth the price.
