“Quiet, Cozy & Inviting...”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

Spent the July 4 weekend boating on Kentucky Lake for the first time & stayed at Lighthouse Landing in one-bedroom Cabin S-5. $130 per night was a great rate compared to anything we have rented at Lake of the Ozarks. Nice view of the lake – partially obscured by trees, but in the evening at sunset when it is hot you will appreciate some shade. Private deck with two comfortable chairs & plenty of tame squirrels to keep you entertained! You are on a private driveway for Cabins S-5, S-6 & S-7 where you can park/unload right outside each door – You will have to maneuver a bit to turn around when coming/going, but not a problem. There is a grill & picnic table located between each cabin which we did put to good use. Cabin was very clean & kitchen/bathroom were well stocked with everything we needed. Tile floors throughout. Queen-size bed was very comfortable with 4 fluffy pillows, not floormats. TV reception was good – Wifi, not so good…Kept kicking us off our iPhone/iPad so we had to stick to our AT&T 4G service. There is a pathway below this cabin to a private rocky beach area next to the lighthouse with picnic tables/bench area & firepit which was great for hanging out with friends by the fire, watching the sunsets in the evening, etc. - It was a great setting for sunset pictures! Guest boat slips available to rent, the launch ramp is easy to get in/out & plenty of trailer parking. Loved the resort as well as the lake – Very quiet & laidback even on a holiday weekend! The staff are very friendly & accommodating. I would return here in a heartbeat if I ever return to the Kentucky Lake area again – My only wish would be for a few pet-friendly cabins as we sometimes have to travel with our dog, but I can understand why they don't offer pet-friendly accommodations. Stay here…You won’t be sorry! Other Tips – We really enjoyed the 2” pork chop at Patti’s & you could walk to Patti’s from LL…You will probably want the exercise after eating there! (I suggest making reservations) We also drove to the other side of the lake to the Catfish Kitchen – Very good food as well, but a long wait (I would recommend reservations there as well, but we didn’t realize they took reservations at the time) Mr. B’s in Grand Rivers has good breakfasts, but they are slow too so allow time. A couple of cute little shops in Grand Rivers, including So Cool & the Four Rivers Harley Davidson tee-shirt store if you are bikers like us. As others have mentioned, the IGA in Grand Rivers is limited so I would bring as many provisions with you as you can, stop in Paducah or someone told us the closest best grocery store was in Draffenville. By water, we ate at Moor’s & Hu-B’s, both serving good food with Hu-B’s serving alcohol if you need it :) (Remember, this is a dry county so bring your own cocktails for happy hour!)

We came for a couple of days for our 23rd Anniversary. We looked for a romantic escape and found one here. We stayed in S-3, based upon the staff's suggestion. Excellent suggestion! The cottage is pure romance, with the jacuzzi, comfortable bed, deck for sunsets, and an excellent layout. The room was very well kept. the kitchen offered a set up for leftovers from Patti's or for late night snacks. We will try to come back again for a weekend away as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Ask the staff for suggestions on choice of rooms to meet the experience you are looking for.

After spending a lot of time reading reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to stay at Lighthouse and are glad we did. The one room cabin has a nice view of the lake and it's a peaceful place to come and relax. Was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a nice place to lay out and as one reviewer said a pool & a fitness area would put this place over the top.
A few things worth mentioning. While they have wifi it is very spotty, we were kicked offline too many times to count and it's next to impossible to watch streaming video/movies. Having to use the white remote that only allows you to change channels & volume is frustrating. You should be able to use the TV's actual remote so you have recall and can put in actual channels.
This is a great place to relax and if you have a boat, you'll have plenty to do. If you are looking for a place with a lot of activities this may not be for you. The only local grocery (IGA) is sadly lacking and too expensive. We went to Paducah to pick up things we weren't able to bring from home. Paducah (exit 4) has a mall, a Walmart, and a lot of nice restaurants and they are only 1/2 hr away.
Several of the stores in town are very expensive. Patti's restaurant is very pricey and the food is just okay.
There is only one washer and dryer on the premises and rather than wait for them to finish being used we drove about three miles to a laundry mat.
The cabin was clean and well equipped (the only thing I noticed was the inside of the shower door needs attention).

Just finished 3 night stay at Lighthouse Landing, everything was top notch. We had a cute one BR cablin-S-11, loved it. Jacuzzi in room, nice little kitchen area which was well stocked. Cabins are very close to each other, but allows you to talk with adjacent people on the deck if you want. We had a great lake view, just slightly obstructed by trees. S-12 may have a more clear view. Place was clean, check in was quick and very friendly. Make time to see the photo gallery if you love pictures of wildlife, he has some amazing ones. If we are in the area again, this place would be our top choice. They also have 2-3 BR cabins also.

A wonderful wee cottage with all we need. Waking up to the birds singing, looking out on the lake. We are in a one bedroom with a jacuzzi tub. Looking forward to a play this afternoon, and a stroll around downtown. Tonight at sunset will be going to the LBL bison and elk preserve. The unit is clean, bed very comfortable, plenty of kitchen stuff, and a sense of peace.

Room Tip: We are in S1. Others are a bit closer to lake A pool and fitness center would be great

Our cabin was wonderful and CLEAN. I was actually very impressed with how clean the cabins are and the attention to detail in the cleanliness. The view of the lake is wonderful. The accessibility to Patti's 1880's village cannot be beat. The LBL state park is right down the road and worth a visit as well.
The only reason I didn't give the property a 5 star review is that the parking is a little tight at the cabin we rented but honestly, that was my only issue. We were blocked in one morning by the other cabin's guest(s) and had to do some tricky maneuvers to get out of the driveway. This was not the facilities fault in any way.
Do not overlook this property. I cannot say enough about how nice the cabins are. You will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a one bedroom cottage overlooking the lake. The fireplace was perfect and the whirlpool tub in the room made for a relaxing weekend. Couldn't beat the view and the location! We had an amazing time and felt like we were not stuck in a hotel with people above or below us, but in a cottage all our own. We will definitely be coming back! Clean, comfortable and ideal for couples.
