Our room #233 was on the main level and had a balcony with two chairs and table. Rooms beginning with 100 are on lower level and offer patio areas. The room had a king-size bed, two night stands with lamps; desk/chair/lamp, sofa, coffee table, floor lamp, and an old-style television. Three (only) hangers were supplied.

There was also a coffee maker, hair dryer, and a sink separate from the toilet and tub The water pressure was just adequate, but the toilet flushed like those on cruiseships.

If you leave your room at night, make sure to turn off the interior lights to avoid mosquitos coming into the room. There is also light that shows through even when the door is closed.

The restaurant offered items from the menu as well as a buffet with many choices. A gift shop, outdoor pool, and large lobby area for conversation are available. The hotel is set up with several buildings connected by covered walkways.

The famous Patti's restaurant is only five-minutes away, but reservations are STRONGLY suggested.

Room Tip: Closer to the lobby makes internet access easier.

Stayed at the lodge 4 nights over the July 4 holiday. Spacious, clean room with a view of the marina and a wooded area. All of the people, including the guests around us, were very nice. Not our first visit. Played the KDV golf course twice and a couple of others in the area. Nice course with a classic parkland layout. Not pristine conditions, but very well-kept. Enjoyed sitting on our "patio" and watching the beautiful birds in the trees near our room, especially the brightly colored woodpeckers. Did not get out on the water this trip, as all of the pontoons were rented. Will do that next time. Very enjoyable and restful trip.

Thanks for your response regarding your recent stay here at Kentucky Dam Village. It was a privilege to have you as our guest recently.

I have shared your comments with our team here at KDV as a way in which we will be able to improve our service to folks such as yourself in the future.

KDV is a great place for a round of golf as well as watching the variety of birds. Golf here is always very popular. In addition, we actually have a number of members of ornithological societies which visit us regularly to observe the wide variety of birds in the area.

Hope to see you again on your next visit.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The views from everywhere were exceptional. The restaurant food was well priced with too much to eat. The check-in area needs to be better marked as we ended up driving by the lake first -- but it was scenic.

letsplaygolf--

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to let us know about your stay recently at Kentucky Dam Village. It is through comments such as your inwhich we are able to create a better experience for our future guests.

Your review has been shared with the entire staff. We would like to thank you for your kind words regarding the friendliness and quality of our rooms. In addition, the restaurant staff was happy to know you enjoyed your meal with us!

Yes, I go agree, the signage pointing out the entrance and registration location here at Kentucky Dam Village can be somewhat hard to notice as you are driving by... we are attempting to make changes to this fact. However, you had the priviledge of seeing more of the area and how wonderful it is here. :)

We certainly do hope you return for another visit to enjoy everything we have to offer.

Until then,

Stayed here on our honeymoon many years ago. Nice king bed lodge room with view of marina. No frig or microwave in room. Older place but well kept up. Restaurant on site. Had excellent service for several meals from Tracy. Only problem is that there is one menu and appears to be the same at every KY Resort State Park and no specials. Catfish that was once wild caught is now farm raised. No other restaurants close by .Enjoyable stay. Great golf course for golfers. Pool at lodge but not open when we were there. We come back because of memories but they seem to attract a lot of vacationers and golfing parties.

Advertise that they have in room Wi-Fi, sorry folks. All we got were excuses , only place to use your laptop or ipad is in the lobby. Outdated TV's , on a cold rainy day, don't expect any heat, have the thermostats in the rooms fixed so you can't get any heat. Very poor water pressure, and take a quick shower before you run out of hot water. Rooms have a musty smell to them, exhaust fans in the bathroom don't work. Other than that, the staff was wonderful, full of excuses, witch I'm sure they are just doing what they have been told to do. Park Manager should be ashamed to call this a State Resort Park.

KDV SRP is at the gateway to Land Between the Lakes and the area of far western Kentucky. The resort lobby features floor-to-cathedral ceiling glass windows to view the fantastic vistas of Lake Barkley and the sailboats in the harbor. The rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. The king bed was very comfortable. I recommend the upper level which is on the same level as the lobby. The only knock on this resort is the lack of wireless internet in my particular room. The dining room was spacious. Customers can order off the menu or take advantage of the buffet offerings. I was here for only one night. This would be a great place to bring the family for a few days of fun and relaxation. A lot to do and see.

I stayed here with some friends during Quilt Week and it was the perfect venue. The generous space of an executive "cabin" allowed us all to be productive, but not feel cramped (2 bedrooms with 2 double beds each and 2 bathrooms). The house decor was a little outdated, but every morning housekeeping came around to change our linens and help with any issues. It is a drive to Paducah (27 miles) and you can't stay here without a car (if you intend to go anywhere). There was an outfitted kitchen, with stove and full sized fridge/freezer. The "water-saving" shower heads were a little disappointing, but the heating/cooling system worked fine and we had a wonderful location for some peace. I'd highly recommend, especially to families/groups wanting a "home away from home." We didn't try the $7.99 buffet in the main lodge, but were tempted to!
