After a long day of driving, we reached our hotel, the staff were adorable, their first coment was "I hope ya"all havea reservation because I hate having to say we are totally booked" Even when people came in with out a reservation they would offer an alternative and were so helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Great hotel, even greater staff.

Stayed at this location 4-5 times a year for past 5 years and done many good reviews of them. We made reservation for 2 nights (Fri, Sat). They said there was a special event going on so the room rates were a bit higher than usual and if we wanted one of the newly remodeled rooms the rate would even be a bit higher again. We paid both increases with no complaint. Left our room on Sat morning at 9:30 AM and returned Sat PM at 9:30 to find a plastic bag on our doorknob with clean towels in it. Entered to find that there had been no maid service. Went to complain at front desk and they said sorry and no manager was there. Next morning the manager told us they would check with the maids before issuing us any credits and would call us. Never heard a peep from them again and they will never hear from us again!

On behalf of everyone here at Best Western Parkside Inn, we thank you for your continuous stays with our property. We do apologize for the inconvenience of your latest stay with us because it did not meet your expectations. With any hotel, there are times during the year, called peak seasons. This is when a business experiences less vacancy than other times of the year. Do to this occurring, our rates do fluctuate throughout the year. Although this happens, our rates do not vary in remodeled rooms and non-remodeled rooms. We do greatly apologize for not meeting your expectations as we did in your previous stays and thank you again for choosing to stay with us at Best Western Parkside Inn.

This hotel is easy access off I-64 & Rt 60. Seems to be an older BW but was okay. The first floor rooms are accessed from the outside, and the 2nd floor rooms have inside access. It has a covered drive thru and 2 sets of manually operated doors which make entrance/exit a little harder. Also, didn't see any carts for transporting luggage. There isn't an elevator for those who cannot used stairs. The lobby is rather small with 2 chairs and a love seat along with a fireplace and a TV. A laundry, fitness center with 3 machines, and indoor and outdoor pools with a pass-thru area are available for guests. The pool is actually on the second floor and does not have handicap accessibility. A jacuzzi is not available. Coffee is available 24/7. There is one computer in the business center, and free Wi Fi is available. We were greeted by a friendly staff, and check in was quick and efficient.

Our room with 2 doubles was clean and comfortable. There was a very nice and informative hotel info book and included area attractions with photos. A microwave and fridge were not available. A hair dryer was there to help make you beautiful. Press your clothes with the iron and ironing board. A flat screen TV and a good channel lineup made relaxing enjoyable. You could use a round table with 2 arm chairs for writing notes for the day. Or you could use the desk with the arm chair on rollers. Store clothes in the chest of drawers. Enjoy that cup of coffee in the room while relaxing.

The tub/shower combo and stool were separate from the single vanity sink and mirror. BW is still using the pull-type knobs on the faucets. I even sometimes have a hard time getting the water on. These need to be replaced by easy-to-use faucets. The bath area needed brighter lighting. It did have an exhaust fan that worked as well as a heat light/lamp. A phone was on the wall by the stool for emergencies.

The breakfast area is rather small. I must compliment BW for using fiberware for the cups and plates instead of styrofoam. There was normal hot and cold fare but still a little disappointing. We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, but there were no hot eggs or any hot meat. I did enjoy the hard boiled eggs. You could make your own hot waffle and also enjoy bagels with cream cheese, yogurt, pastries, toast and jelly, hot coffee or tea, and juices. Fresh fruit consisted of bananas and oranges.

Overall, we would use this BW again when in the area. We feel that we were provided a fair price for our stay. In addition, another couple was on the trip with us, and they told us that their AC unit didn't work properly as well as not having the hotel info book available.

Room Tip: Choose a second floor room for added security since rooms on the second floor have interior access...

On behalf of the Best Western Parkside Inn staff, we thank you for your detail comments and descriptions of our property! We would also like to thank you for choosing to stay with us! Each and every one of our staff members works efficiently and thoroughly to ensure each guests has an unforgettable stay. For our guests who have difficultly with stairs or just prefer the first floor, we do strive to meet each request possible. If we are unable to meet this request, we do have a ramp that lends straight to the second floor for our guests. This ramp also lends to the pool area if our guests have difficulty with stairs. We also have luggage carts available for easy transport of guest luggage; our front desk staff is also willing to help with any needs of moving luggage.

Our design team has ordered new vanities for our rooms, which will upgrade our rooms from the older feel of the faucets. The rooms are also getting new upgrades with lighting as well. We apologize for the inconvenience of the faucets and lighting, we have these items on the way!

We are happy to hear the information binder located in each room is being very helpful to our guests! We also would like to thank you for the compliment about our breakfast amenities and stepping away from the styrofoam plates.

We thank you again for your stay with us at Best Western Parkside Inn and hope to see you again, soon!

Every thing was fine, if they had a rating of good I would rate that instead of very good. The reason is that the hotel smelled of smoke specially inside the non-smoking room but from the minute I walked into the lobby I could smell it and it was very unpleasant, if you are a smoker it will be great for you. Another thing is that children were running and yelling on the second floor till late hours and management did not call their attention. Room was smelly but clean and comfortable.

From everyone here at Best Western Parkside Inn, we would like to say thank you for choosing to stay with us! We want to apologize for the inconvenience of the smoking smell in the hotel that you experienced. We are a completely non-smoking facility. We have recently implemented each guest that checks in with us sign an agreement stating: if they do smoke in the room, there will be an extensive fee. Our housekeeping staff does as much as possible to ensure, when someone has smoked in the room, to get the smell out. We apologize for failing at this task. During the summer time, it is very busy with many sports tournaments so we do have many families stay during those times. We are terribly sorry for the disturbance of the children running and yelling through the halls. We failed as a staff to ensure this didn't happen. Again, we would like to thank you for staying with us and hope to see you soon!

Many times, it's the little things that make a hotel either great or not. Lots of little things made this hotel not great. The hotel was packed with kids...PACKED. I like kids, I have kids who were with me, but the pool area was such a solid mass of kids that even my kids wanted no part of it. I realize that you can't blame the hotel for that, but you may want to ask the hotel before booking what you can expect on that date. Breakfast wasn't impressive, the breakfast room was small and very hot, there were no spoons or forks. There was a long line at check out with only one person at the desk. You have to go to the font desk to get a pool towel. In our room, there were only enough towels for 3 people in a room for 4 people. Like I said, lots of little things that weren't great. The room was clean, but for $100/night, I expect more.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are exterior doors, 2nd floor are interior.

On behalf of everyone at Best Western Parkside Inn, we thank you for your stay with us! During the summer time, it is very busy with many sports tournaments so we do have many families stay during those times. Before a guests’ stay or when making a reservation, if a guest did want to ask about what our forecast is for a certain week or weekend, we can give them that information.

When a guest is in need of a pool towel, we do keep them at the front desk area for housekeeping information; once asked for a towel, we log them out for our housekeeping to keep track of the next day. Even though Best Western standards require 3 complete sets of towels for a multi-bedded room, we are always available to provide you with additional linens and/or toiletries to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. We also have those typical “forget something” items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, and etc. available. All complementary of course!

Breakfast amenities are spread out extensively with many items. We do provide plastic spoons, forks, and knives with our breakfast. During busy mornings, there are many items for our breakfast attendant to keep up with, but this is no excuse of the absence of those because we do have many breakfast foods that require the need for silverware. We apologize for this.

We do apologize for the many little things that we did not accomplish that are supposed to make your stay much more enjoyable. We thank you for staying with us again and hope to see you back again soon!

First floor is a motel, with outside entrances; the second floor is a hotel, with interior hallways.

The Good: wonderfully comfortable beds – firm, with a pillow top; clean – no chemical or smoke smells; friendly staff.

The Bad: black-and-white TV (we checked in too late to bother the desk about it, and in the morning she was surprised and apologized); no TV directory or guide on the remote; sluggish drain in the shower/tub. Seems like those should have been checked by the housekeeper.

The Ugly: Reservations. Check a week ahead of time online for prices and use those to negotiate a better rate. We paid about $12 over online, making phone reservations only one day in advance (the hotel was full when we arrived, so the reservation was important, and the online reservation said they were full -- so be sure to check phone and online).

All told, yes, we would go back.

Room Tip: First floor would be quieter when there are large groups -- we had some kids running the halls up to...

On behalf of the Best Western Parkside Inn staff, I would like to say thank you for your detailed comments made and we really appreciate your stay with us! Our housekeeping staff works earnestly to ensure each room meets the expectations and standards for cleanliness and our requests from our guests. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience of the black-and-white television. Many times it is the cable cords that are bad and once switched, it returns to color. Our staff failed on ensuring the room exceeded the expectations for you, as our guest. During this time of the year, it is busy, full of tournaments from baseball to soccer. When there are tournaments in town, we do get booked up quickly with families. I do apologize for the inconvenience of the children running through the hotel, we failed as a staff to ensure this didn't happen. We are very thankful to hear that due to these inconveniences, you have not changed your mind on staying with us in the future. Thank you again for choosing Best Western Parkside Inn and we hope to see you soon!
