We love the sample taste they provide - the single barrel and small batch are quite tasty. Their bourbon cream would make anything taste better.

This was our second bourbon trail trip, but our first visit to Buffalo Trace. The location is very pretty. The information was good. It was very hard to hear. Our group kept having to stop and wait for the group ahead of us. The tasting room wasn't ready for us. A good tour, just needs some polishing.

The Buffalo Trace Distillery is an absolute first class experience, even though you don't get to see large parts of the process (the milling, mashing, distilling) you get a very warm welcome, a great tour, and incredible knowledge and stories.

We were lucky enough to have Freddy as our guide, who is, one of the best tour guides I have ever had (having visited over 60 distilleries). He had great stories, that really brought the Bourbon industry, and the distillery and its brands to life.

There's 17 different bourbon brands that come from the distillery, and there's a great explanation of how they differ, and all of the great stuff that they do here. We took a slightly longer 'hard hat' tour and saw where the cask are filled, additional warehouse spaces, and spent a nice amount of time on the line seeing Blanton's being botted.

The tour finished with a fun tasting, of not just different bourbons, but also some chocolate, and a bourbon cream liqueur.

Overall, very educational and entertaining

The staff was very friendly. We took the basic tour (FREE!) and learned a lot. You get to see and talk to workers and end with a tasting. Glad we went!

The video shown during the tour romanticized the 1800s but a great afternoon.
BUY THE PANCAKE MIX. It's incredible!
And if you put your birthday on the comment card you'll receive a card from them!
