Lots of fun, and it's FREE (you have to make a reservation though) wished it lasted more than an hour.

My wife and I visited many of the bourbon distilleries and found Buffalo Trace to be the second best on we toured. The location is gorgeous and Jimmy our tour guide was fun informative and pleasantly fun and funny. He knew his history too.
After a great tour the sampling room was big and roomy and we sampled bourbon's, Vodka a bourbon liquor and root beer. The liquor which was fully of heavy cream mixed with the root beer was to die for. In fact we bought both before leaving.
We also saw a wedding taking place on the sight which was very beautiful. Buffalo TRace is a friendly lovely place to visit.

This is the second time we have been to Buffalo Trace. Freddy was our guide and he was amazing! He is a 3rd Generation Buffalo Trace employee and super informative! The tour is free and supposed to be an hour, but Freddy was so expressive and informative that our tour was 1.5 hours long and I don't think anyone cared! During the tasting Freddy poured White Dog on our hands and had us to some smelling tests, wow! If you go to this Distillery, call ahead and see when Freddy is giving a tour, he was amazing!

Wonderful place for a garden wedding! The "lodge" is an excellent choice for the reception. Staff very helpful and the tour for the wedding guests was very entertaining while the wedding photos were being taken.

If you're in, or near Frankfort, you gotta do this tour. It's very informative and historic. The tour takes about an hour and ends with a tasting. Best of all it's free.
