After being told that Olive Garden had a one hour waiting list, we walked across the parking lot to Smokey Bones BBQ and Grill to check it out. This bar/restaurant combination reminded me a bit of an Applebees atmosphere, casual and welcoming. We had a five minute wait and were seated near the bar where four television screens on each side played different sporting related programs (horse racing, NASCAAR and two NCAA football games). We ordered ribs, pulled pork and a steak along with beverages. Our waiter was welcoming and generally attentive, although I had to wait almost 10 minutes for a refill of water (which he attributed to a lack of ice?). Our meals came with a salad and dessert, both of which were also generously sized and enjoyable. Prices were very reasonable, especially with specials offfered.

Got some really good blackberry iced tea to wet the whistle, split a spinach and grilled pear salad with a friend. But the flat iron steaks and the ribs are yummy too! Not to mention the hot cinnamon donut minis.

dined at Smokey Bones and found almost everything excellent....the only disappointment was the bread pudding, usually my hubby's favorite at most restaurants, it was pure sugar, too sweet to even take a second bite....especially since we are both diabetic..........perhaps it was a Paula Dean recipe as all of her things are too sugary also. I would definitely recommend the restaurant but don't order the dessert. Also, the air conditioning was turned down so low that we were all cold, and had to go outside where it was 53 degrees to warm up

We were seated quickly, someone immediately came over, took our order and told us the specials. Probably in less than 5 minutes, we had our food. It was great and I love that you could add your own BBQ sauce from their selection. Food was very reasonably priced. Decor was fine... looked nicer on outside than on inside but there was nothing wrong with it. Would eat here again.

I've been traveling a lot and have eaten a several SB's. The food is high quality for the price. What you eat in Columbus, OH will be the same as Walton, KY.

The best Appetizer to order, the smoke chicken wings, ask for them to be moist. Some nights that's all I have for dinner!
