We stayed here 2 different nights. Very clean rooms. Great staff. Very considerate of our family. After arriving late, they kept the pool open for 1 more hour! I'd stay again!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I flew in from Louisiana into Louisville. When I drove up I was worried the traffic/noise from the interstate and the local resturants in the immediate area would be loud and distracting making for horrible night's sleep, but it was the complete opposite. Things shutdown fairly early and becomes very quiet (even the interstate).
There were many resturants to choose from. Many businesses were nearby and extremely easy to find. The mall, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, a few grocery stores and more resturants were less than 5miles from the hotel on Dixie hwy which btw will pretty much lead you to anything you'd want. Very convienent to know seeing as I had never been to Kentucky.
I made arrangements online so it made for an easy check-in and out. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was very nice. Workstation (with wireless internet access) was simple and also very nice with lamp, hotel stationary and such. I had a king size bed which was large and comfortable(lots of soft pillows). My room also came with a fridge, microwave, iron w/ironing board, alarm clock and also had plenty of light. And everything was clean which is always a big plus!

This hotel was definately worthy of a 5 star rating! The cleanliness and decor was outstanding. Staff went out of their way to be informative and helpful! The continental breakfast was very diverse and offered something for everyone! Plenty of restaurants in the area and location was very accessible. We were in the area for a graduation and stayed 3 nights. Highly recommend this hotel to any fellow travelers!!!

Motel is easily accessible from I-65 and convenient to restaurants. You can easily walk to Texas Roadhouse, Ruby Tuesday, Wendys, Shoneys, and Cracker Barrel, plus Texas Outlaw Steakhouse. The room (2 queen beds, n/s, 2nd floor) was comfortable with pillow-top mattresses, micro/fridge, plenty of desk/table space, and a window for fresh air. The bathroom door did not latch properly. Motel was quiet, and we slept well. The parking area was well-lit. Breakfast was good; a decent selection including biscuits and gravy. The staff was very helpful. Free internet access in the lobby.

Our room was fine, but all throughout the second floor were mattresses stuffed here and there in the hallways and such. Kind of strange. Breakfast was good.

GOOD THINGS:

1. Air conditioning - Was 95F when we were there, air conditioning kept room nice and cool.

2. Bed - King bed was excellent, that perfect combo of firmness and softness. Was in nice condition.

3. Surrounding Area - Several restaurants nearby (walking distance). Safe feel to area.

4. Free Breakfast - Nice breakfast, cereals, toast, milk, juice, yogurt.

5. Other - Our room included a small fridge and microwave. Spacious feel to room.

BAD THINGS:

1. Work Out Room - Is in windowless, dank basement. Weight machine was broken, looked like it had been broken for awhile.

2. Indoor Pool - Pool water was HOT, not refreshing at all. Whirlpool was also way too hot, probably 115F, ridiculous!

3. Front Desk Staff - Not service oriented. Example, One of the lamps in the room did not function. They made a note so they could, "Get Maintenance to fix it for the next guest." Thanks, that really helps US!! Example 2, We were meeting others who were also staying at the hotel, who arrived the next day. They arrived about 11am, were rudely told check in was not until 3PM ... the hotel was nowhere near full, yet they could not accomodate our friends.

4. In Room Safe Charge - Hotel automatically charges you for use of in room safe. Look at your bill closely! They will take it off if you ask, but only if you ask.

SUMMARY

The surrounding area is good. Excellent bed, superb air conditioning, this hotel gets the important stuff right. But it could be an excellent hotel. They need to pay attention to the pool area, the workout area, and be more service oriented.

PS. Beware this hotel is in a DRY county. If you want a drink in your room, and don't bring it with you, you'll have to drive to the next county to get provisions.

My family of five stayed here overnight on our way to Mamouth Caves. The room was clean and was big enough for the 5 of us. The couch was a pull-out so we had three bed.... The pool area was OK. The pool deck was painted and peeling.. it looked bad but was clean.

I did notice a charge on my bill for "Safe W Warranty" it was a charge around $2. I spoke to the front desk and they stated it had something to do with the room safe. I asked them to remove it and they did. If you stay, you might want to check your bill.

Overall it wasn't a bad stay.
