“Pleasant and Relaxing”
Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

In E-town doing genealogy research and stopped here for lunch. Nearby to county office buildings. Quaint interior. Friendly service. Tasty burger in pretzel bun. Homemade vegetable soup contained ground beef and was good. Would come back.

“Disappointed.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Was hoping that this place would be great, since it's located in downtown Elizabethtown and and the location could use all the business it could muster. The restaurant is cute, super small but very quaint and nicely decorated. When we ordered, they proceeded to tell us they were out of several things (including french fries - it was 11:30 in the afternoon). Then, about 10 minutes after we ordered, other patrons ordered fries and the same waitress didn't mention anything. Umm, okay. We got our food, and unfortunately I ordered potato salad and the wife ordered pasta salad. Seeing how this place is a small business, you'd think it would be homemade, but it tasted and looked exactly like the salads you get from a big tub labeled Reser's at a company picnic. Most of their food is processed and/or ready made, not what you'd expect from a place called a Cafe. And to top it off, it wasn't cheap. $6.99 for lunch and that didn't include a drink. This place needs a makeover - either have a limited menu and make everything from scratch (recommended), since the decor already matches, or lower the prices and call it what it is - a diner.

Hungry, want a meal or snack then you are at the right spot! Small restaurant with big taste. I like to have a cup of coffee and brunch. The food is very good and satisfying.

“Friendly spot for lunch”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Florida. It is a really cute little place, and it serves a very good lunch. I had a BLT which was just perfect. Good bacon and a light coating of mayo on the bread, just the way I like it. We also had the fresh strawberry pie, which had a nice crust and was not overly sweet. We would definitely stop here again, and it isn't that far off the road.

“Nice cafe”
Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Quaint little cafe converted from an old shoe cobbler place of business. Although I agree this is a nice little cafe, I wasn't impressed with the service or food and didn't feel it was worth our detour. The young lady that waited on us was very nice and the menu offered many inexpensive choices but we spent an hour (or more) just getting a cup of coffee and a couple of sandwiches made of processed lunch meat -- we were the only customers.
