“Awesome steak”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

This was my first visit to Longhorn in E-town. We called ahead (around 30 min before arrival), but we still had to wait around 10-15 minutes or so. That wasn't bad for a late Saturday afternoon/early evening arrival (and there were eight in our party). We started with the shrimp and lobster dip, which was great. One end of the dip was a little extra done, but I actually liked it that way. I skipped on the salad and opted for the shrimp and lobster chowder. It wasn't spectacular, but it was good. It wasn't real warm (at least all the way through) when I received it. I'm not talking cold, but just not hot. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and was thoroughly pleased with the steak. Since it was a ribeye, there was some fat to maneuver around but the flavor was great. I ordered it medium-rare, and it was nearly spot on. If anything, it may have been slightly more toward medium. The server kept our glasses full and quickly took any dishes out of our way when we were done with them. The only drawback that comes to mind was our seating location. It would have been fine, but one of the servers' "stations" was right behind me, so it would sometimes get noisy when they were retrieving or stowing items.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

Worth the trip down Dixie Highway from Fort Knox Ky. Steak and fish are always good and cooked the way you like. Salads are cold and crisp. Dont forget the spicy shrimp to start out your meal. Always order your appetizer before or with the drinks or they may come with your meal. Customer service is great and the hostess staff is always available to assist as needed. Not many good resturants in this area but this is a keeper. Have returned many times since the opening about 5 months ago.

“Good food good atmosphere”

Nice restaurant for a lunch date or evening meal. Some issues with promptness of food delivery during the busiest lunch hour times. The steakhouse mac-n-cheese is a must.

“Wait for Food Was Toooooo Long”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

I went to Longhorn Steakhouse the first time during lunch on a Thursday. There were maybe 10-15 customers in the whole restaurant. After we were seated, who we "thought" was our server came to the table to let us know our server had been called to the Manager's Office and would be with us shortly. While looking at the menu - it seemed a bit pricey for this type of restaurant. After about 10 minutes we asked the temp server to take our order she explained she would have to ask our regular server. Five more minutes went by and the temp server finally came back to take our order this time. After ordering, we waited approx 25 minutes more for our order! This is during lunch during the work week and people have to go back to work! Ordered a half sandwich and soup which were both luke warm when they arrived. We were so frustrated and pressed for time we ate quickly, paid and went back to work. The second time I went to Longhorn Steakhouse was a Sunday afternoon about 1200ish. Again there were only 10-15 customers in the restaurant. We ordered two steak burgers with fries and it took 25 minutes (!!) for us to get our order. During that time no one came to refresh our drinks or ask if we wanted more bread. Again the food arrived just warm I don't think we'll be going back.

“Dressed up version of a casual steakhouse”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

We ordered the Porterhouse for two, which was huge. The problem is that the steak was way overcooked. We asked for medium and it came out well done. We did wait a terribly long time and most of the prices were a little on the higher side for this type of restaurant. The atmosphere was good, probably because it wasn't crowded. We may give this place another try, but I wouldn't recommend it based on this visit.
