“Clean and comfortable with a WOW!”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

What a nice surprise after being on the interstate all day to be greeted s friendly. Aside from a sincere "welcome" at the desk, we were delighted to receive a snack box which included chips, candy bars, mints and bottled water. And then we were informed that shortly there would be fresh cookies at he desk and about an hour later free peanut butter sandwiches. WOW! Never been welcomed in this manner. As always the room was clean and comfortable with a nice plush bed. Only suggestion for improvement is to suggest staff not be permitted to stand outside the front entrance to do thir smoking. Smells terrible and just doesn't look very good to someone driving up. Otherwise we would recommend this inn.

When I walked in the hotel, the staff greeted me as if I was home! I was amazed when I came in at 3:00pm the manager was in the lobby and when I came down at 2:00am the same manager was still helping guests!!!!! I think his name was Robert. I spoke to him about my room and the property and he was amazing and the staff said he just started and that he was there General Manager, I was not surprised that they said he was the best GM they have had in a long time. All of them spoke high of him! The pool was great and the breakfast was amazing! The price was great too. You should come to this hotel you will love it.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite they have central Air and heat.

Traveling from Indiana to Lexington I chose to stay in Dry Ridge at this Hampton Inn.

Professional and friendly front office staff, clean rooms, good linens, nice complimentary breakfast.

Older property and not yet updated but it was well maintained so this was not an issue.

If in the are I would stay again and recommend it to friends and others. Cracker Barrel real close, which helps with dinner choices since there isn't much else around the area. Used to be an outlet mall but that is now defunct.

My first experience at this Hampton Inn was good some years back. This time was no different. A typical Hampton Inn, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and adequate for a good price. Other amenities were available, but I didn't use them. Carrying antique furniture in my truck bed, I worried about the safety of the items, but found the area adjacent to the common area well lit and unexposed. Breakfast was very good and the large windows facing east provided the nice backdrop of a magnificent sunrise to start the day. A good choice of restaurants were nearby, even within walking distance.

Standard Hampton Inn (at least in my experience): clean rooms, friendly staff, modern amenities, overall nice place. The location is good - not necessarily for any particular city (the closest big city, Cincinnati, is 30-45 mins north), but I stayed here for several nights and used it as a central jumping off point for Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and even as far north as Dayton. For all that, it is fairly centrally located. Bottom line: nice place; I would stay here again if I was in the area.

My husband and I were heading north to Cincinnati Ohio late one night. It began to storm and there was a huge traffic back up on the interstate ahead. We had stopped in Dry Ridge several times before to shop at a little outlet center many times. This time we decided to spend the night. Checked a few reviews of the local hotels and chose the Hampton and are glad we did. Nice courteous check in service even at 9:00pm. Walked into our room and the 'nose test' passed with flying colors. The room smelled clean and fresh. Then the inspection began. The room was clean and well maintained. The air conditioner worked better than good..brrrr. The bed was ok.. of course that all falls into the personal preferences... little too soft for me but nothing wrong with it. The next morning the Hampton offered a very nice breakfast. Ham, egg & cheese scramble, waffles, and the usual bagel, toast, cereals and fruit. Had a very nice stay and would stay there again.
