I visited the greenway for afternoon tea for a friends baby shower and I was totally disappointed . The cakes were awful and the scone was so hard and stale I could not even eat it. The sandwiches were ok but not anything to get excited about . The price of the afternoon tea I think is definitely not worth the money. I would definitely think twice about going again .

I stayed here for a business meeting over two beautiful summers nights. Breakfast and dinner on the patio at the rear of the hotel was excellent with views over the rolling hills. I liked the friendly and unassuming check in process - no paperwork! The house itself is pleasant in the style of a classic country house. Plenty of wood paneling and antic furniture. The rooms were very spacious. Wish I had more time to explore the spa and the surrounds.

We had lunch in the Garden Restaurant at this hotel and were very impressed with both the food and the service. The dining room décor is elegant with wonderful views across the gardens and into the countryside beyond.

We had a three course meal, all courses being beautifully presented and exquisitely prepared, followed by coffee with a delicious selection of petit-fours.

It is definitely a restaurant that we look forward to visiting again.

Visited The Greenway for the second time (visit last winter) in July 2013. This time we were on honeymoon. I was a bit sad because despite telling the staff on booking and arriving on a bit of a wedding high, there wasn’t so much as a ‘congratulations’ from the staff! Maybe that's me being Bridezilla!

We did the midweek deal which is still good-although the price has gone up quite a bit. Also, the room we were in this time was decorated in very dark colours which made it a little claustrophobic.

Other than that the food and drink was again excellent, and the staff all very pleasant and helpful!

Room Tip: Room 9 is a bit dark and with the windows open you can hear the cars/people in the car park

This was our third visit to the Greenway spa and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the past, but unfortunately the experience didn't match up to our previous spa days. On the positive side, our treatments and lunch were both very good, but the spa was extremely crowded.

Our session started at 10am, but with everyone arriving at the same time and having to be booked in, we didn't actually get to the poolside until almost 1030. We found that 5 further beds had been added to the pool area and the cold water shower removed along with the welcome jugs of water. Sadly, the experience shower (our favourite feature on previous visits) was also out of order. The extra furniture around the pool made it feel more cramped and it was a bit awkward to get past the people in the 3 beds on the back wall, but there still weren't enough beds for all the people booked in at that time.

When we went in to change at the end of our session, the large windows in both male and female changing rooms (which open out onto the car park and entrance area) were both wide open. Not very reassuring from a security perspective as it would be easy to climb in, but also fairly embarrassing as I only realised when half undressed!

We came away feeling quite sad - this had been our favourite spa location and now we don't anticipate returning anytime soon. It can be a fantastic place to relax for a day, but it is only a small facility and can't take the number of members and guest bookings that we experienced on that day.
