Stayed at this hotel recently for Cheltenham races with friends. Hotel was excellent. Room we stayed in was a classic room but was more like an executive room. It was very well decorated and immaculately clean. Service was excellent in the restaurant which served excellent food. Breakfast was wonderful and reception staff excellent. Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the newly refurbished rooms. We stayed in one called sycamore and our friends in ash. Both...

My wife and I chose this hotel for a last minute Saturday night break. We loved the relaxing lounge - even spying the multi-millionaire owner on a helicopter visit. The spa was delightful with a small but adequate pool and a choice of steam, sauna and cooler sauna rooms with comfortable loungers . There is also a lovely hot tub in the spa courtyard. The staff were excellent and very attentive. Our room was very spacious and relaxing. Our only one true beef was the main course. It is about time that this pretentious form of cooking is put to grass because basically it is a total rip off - a little bit of lamb and a triangle of potato with a a cube of butternut squash - the shopping bill must be very modest. By comparison the cheese and biscuits had more calories than the preceding menu. Change the evening menu to something less outlandish ad this hotel would be a gem. The breakfast by the way was delightful.

We stayed here for one night. We have stayed in several hotel/spas and this is by far the best we have ever stayed. The staff were so polite and efficient. Nothing was too much to ask for. The food at dinner an breakfast was first class. The room was very large and well appointed with beautiful views of the countryside. We loved the spa and wish we could have stayed longer. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough!

A wonderful large room, very attentive staff, excellent spa and pool - altogether a wonderful weekend. The food was beautiful but pricey and small portions, just as well a group of us came for a treat. Breakfast was excellent, wonderful choice of fruits and yoghourts, and really good cooked dish.

Room Tip: Pine is deluxe - living room as well as bedroom.

I booked the Greenway Hotel for my daughter's 21st Family lunch - we were given the beautifully set up restaurant privately for 23 people. Chralotte co-ordinated the event perfectly and couldnt be more helpful; As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and all of our guests were shown into the bar for a welcome drink. From start to finish, the service and the food were perfect! The Greenway Hotel made my daughter's 21st such a memorable event and we greatly appreciate all the effort that went into to making sure this was the case

Thank you :)
Claire

We arranged a big lunch at The Greenway as a special way of marking the retirement of a much loved colleague. Despite initial concerns that we might not be able to afford it, we were delighted at the price we were quoted for a three course meal plus coffees. The venue is truly wonderful and perfect for a special occassion. All guests arriving experienced the warm welcome of the staff who remained understated, patient and helpful throughout the day. The food was fabulous and all dietary requirements were dealt with effortlessly, which was a huge relief for me organising the event. he hotel is well located in relation to Cheltenham and the wider cotswolds - my only tiny suggestion would be to get the hedge cut back at the entrance so those approaching from the Stroud direction could see the hotel sign a little better. Overall a lovely and my retiring colleague said it was a genuine highlight of his life.

We arrived a little earlier than expected at this hotel, and were immediately offered a drink upon arrival, by the Manager, Luc, as the room was given a final inspection for us.
We had been given a special offer for the Bridal Suite (room nr 6), which included a 3 course dinner and free use of Spa.
We were definitely not disappointed. The huge suite was outstandingly beautiful, sumptuously decorated, with a beautiful four poster bed, gorgeous curtains and lamps, and had many windows, with breathtaking views over the Cotswold countryside. The bathroom was amazing, with a beautiful big corner bath, and an enormous shower cubicle. Worth mentioning is that the bathroom also had a window with beautiful views, and was nice and bright.
The Spa pool was lovely, and the water wonderfully warm. The showers and steamroom great, and all of it beautifully clean. The hot tub outside not to be missed on a cold day!
Although the hotel was very smart, it had a very friendly atmosphere, and wasn't at all snooty, and hush, hush. The service was very attentive, particularly by the French waitress in the restaurant, who couldn't have been more helpful with the cheeses! The dinner was extremely good. The portions were quite small, but with the little courses in between, or 'amuse gueule', in was very satisfying, particularly when coffee and petit fours had been finished. My starter, a pate, was delicious, and my fish (Brill) was excellently cooked. My partner was very happy with his scallops and main course of duck as well. There could have been a few more vegetables, and the dessert was not as high a standard as I would have liked - a chocolate tart, with what seemed like a 'bought in' base, rather than a home made buttery base made by the pastry chef.
We were very happy with the hotel and the dinner, and would very highly recommend this very special place.
