My wife and I took a one night break with secret escapes at this hotel and could not fault anything from the very friendly welcome on arrival to the time we checked out .The rooms were large and the beds were huge and comfortable with great views across the countryside towards the South Downs . We treated ourselves to a champagne cream tea that was delicious before relaxing in the spa area with the steam room, sauna , jacuzzi and swimming pool . After a good nights sleep we went on to enjoy a great buffet breakfast with every thing fresh and hot where again we were greeted and welcomed by very friendly staff who took great care to make sure every thing was all ok for you . So would definitely return for another break

We went here with 3 children 16,12 and 5 months for a 2 night mini break during half term Hols. We wanted somewhere to relax and enjoy hotel facilities , swimming ,steam room etc. this was just perfect! We wanted to all be in one room so they gave us the suite at the normal rate of a family room. WOW what a treat. The suite had pamaranic views of golf course and a Huge balcony. A massive dressing room ( which we put travel cot in so baby had own room ) beds where comfy . Room was spotless. Just perfect. Reception staff really helpful and friendly ( becky and Caroline) we only eat in restaurant for breakfast as we found it was a bit soulless and lacking in atmosphere for dinner so we ate out in uckfield. We will defiantly return . Lovely hotel. Note to hotel, need fridge in room and help or trolley for bags( we had so much stuff with baby equipment etc) could have done with a little help and kids swimming times was a bit annoying as the times clashed with baby's feeds and nap times so couldn't make full use of lovely pool.Only a small complant though. We did see other standard rooms while there and they looked quite large too. Lovely time had by all :-))

Stayed here for one night with my husband to celebrate our anniversary, it was our first time away without our little lad so it was great that it's not far from home- what a gem of a place!!
From arrival to the time we left the staff did everything they could to make it a special treat. A special thanks needs to be given to " big John" in the pavilion, he organised a lovely treat for us, a decorated plate with chocolates and fruit and a couple of glasses of bubbly- a really lovely gesture. Christina and Rebecca on reception were both very friendly and professional, the hotel should be really proud of their team! It's a shame the health club staff are not of the same calibre, quite miserable actually but as they said to me they are separate to the hotel??? They seem quite young and don't really look like they enjoy their job nor want to be there- makes you feel a bit awkward. The spa staff again were lovely and treatments good value. I agree with another guest, the pool was a bit cold but you get used to it.
If you are reading this considering whether to go..... Just book it! Call the hotel direct they will help you organise a lovely trip and will give you as good a deal as any other places such as secret escapes. It is part of a chain but the personal touches makes it feel boutique, you won't regret it.
We have already said we will return next year ( or sooner if we can get a willing baby sitter!) just need to work on the health club team....maybe a bit if time working with the guys I mentioned earlier to show them how customer service really should be done!

Room Tip: Go for a club if you can

Stayed here for two nights during a conference with work and thought this hotel was really nice! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was very good and the rooms and facilities here are high quality! Although i was here with work i would come back with my partner for a relaxing two night break as you are set out in the country and with a spa and golf facilities, plus the very reasonably priced rooms it would make a very nice break for a couple of nights..
