“Very nice alternative to touristy places”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

If you are in the Bonavista area, this golf club is a nice alternative to all the tourist places around Trinity. We happened to go here as the entire Trinity area was sold out, but were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was so nice to have quiet to sleep and a lean spacious place.

We had a large room, breakfast-making supplies (toaster, kettle, frig - but not the food), BBQ for evening meal, comfortable bed and best of all, quiet to be able to sleep! It was lovely to have the peace at night and in the morning. Beautiful view over the water and woods. Nice to have a deck to enjoy a drink on.

The course is tucked away off the Route 236, but is really not far from the road, nor from Route 230 which goes up the peninsula. This would be a good place for a family of adults who want a quieter spot. I would go back.

Visited this resort with another couple; played golf, travelled on ATV and had a wonderful time. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished and the view is amazing. We stayed overnight (2 bedroom suite) played 18 holes of golf each and had supper for less than $150.00 per couple. Unbelievable. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for a quiet get-away from it all and a little time enjoying both golf and Mother Nature then this definitely is the spot. We lucked out with great weather and enjoyed both golf and fishing trips (easily arranged through the view). The course is beautiful and the restaurant puts on a good meal. Seeing several whales was the icing on the cake. Staff are very accommodating and willing to stretch the restaurant hours a bit to meet your needs. It's a well named spot as the views from both the course, the clubhouse and the rooms are exceptional.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top floor. Exceptional view

We came by for a visit last year, just to see the place. The friendly staff showed us the rooms, and we decided then we were coming back for a stay the following year. We have been there twice this summer, once as a couple and once again with our kids and friends in tow. And they had a child in a wheel chair, so the accessible unit was perfect! Something this spectacular has to be shared. The view, breath taking! The staff were so friendly, and the food was great (oh! those wings and mussels.... mmmm !) and we made friends with the owner! What a great time was had by all! (and we don't even golf!) I highly recommend a stay here!

Room Tip: The top 2 rooms have the best view, but they are all gorgeous!

This resort has large rooms with table and chairs, fireplace, fridge and microwave. The view of Bonavista bay is great There are large decks on the two lower floors....great spot for friends to meet. There are suites with two bedrooms for families, etc. The golf course has matured nicely and the food in the bar good. a great spot as a base to visit the Bonavista peninsula as well. They have golf and stay packages.

Room Tip: If you are two couples who want your own rooms but like to stay together, choose a suite. Stock up on...

It has a beautiful view, and the golf course is amazing, but it is billed as a luxury golf resort and it's not luxury and not a resort. Friendly staff, big room, but the furniture was no way luxury, neither was the clubhouse building. Dining room food was quite good, but we were told we had to be there by 7pm. Second night we ate in the bar which was open later. It's got a wonderful view can't complain about that, just not what we expected as a luxury resort. We knew it was remote and it is, but it's in a lovely area on the bonavista peninsular.

During our trip through Newfoundland we stayed for two nights at this small hotel near Princeton on Bonavista Peninsula and it was real good time.

First of all we have to send many thanks to the owner of this hotel because they have been the only one who accepted a reservation during the off season. We ask many hotels, B&B and Inns in the region of Bonavista and all of them told us that they are closed at the beginning of April during to off season. The View Golf Resort was the only one that sent a positive booking confirmation for this time.

The hotel itself is a little bit east of Princeton and located in the middle of a golf course and in the middle of nowhere. So it was really quite and there has been no noise from cars or anything else.
As well the hotel is very small (only 6 apartments) and it has a great view over the bay.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had a hugh window with a great view over the bay. As well we had a big TV-screen, a chimney, a big king-size bed, a separate table with 4 chairs and a fridge in the room. Everything was really good and new stuff and we enjoyed our stay very much - especially the great view each morning.

If you are looking for a quite and tidy hotel on Bonavista Peninsula, we really can recommend this hotel.

At least we can recommend a small talk with the owner. They had many information about the peninsula and the area as well as the very helpful and friendly to all our questions.

A great stay!!!!
