“Good value and great location”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

We had a most pleasant 3 night stay in April. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the room was clean.
The property was well maintained, making the pool a delight for an early morning swim. The included breakfast was exceptional and the hotel is located within east driving distance of the attractions on both sides of the river.
The only down side was the slightly run down area immediately around the hotel and the layout of the driveway entrance. I also would have liked an easy chair in the room.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a river view.

Get a room with a view! Stayed for 2 nights while visiting Cincinnati. The check-in was swift and helpful. I loved that they had crafts in the lobby for the children to occupy their time if necessary. This hotel was the perfect location for us... it was on the river, close to restaurants/shopping, near the downtown Cincinnati scene, and just a short drive to the Museum Center and Zoo. Every staff member was extremely friendly and sincere in making us feel welcomed. The complimentary breakfast was just fine for our taste, offering everything from fresh fruits and bagels, to omlettes and waffles. The food was stocked even past the closing 10:00am hour. It was evident they didn't want anyone getting their day started without a good breakfast! Going out at night felt a bit unsafe, because of the liquor store nearby and the dark areas under the nearby bridges. But, I noticed security was alert almost everytime we stepped out of the hotel and security cameras were everywhere on the property. Thanks to the decent price, clean rooms, noon check-out, free parking, nice staff, and location, I will definately return to this hotel when visiting Cincinnati. Only con I can think of is that I was embarrased to find free porn on our TV as I surfed channels with my son. Not cool!

This hotel is in a good location to get to other venues downtown quickly. Parking is also free. Rooms are nice. There are a few liquor stores, etc. around (area right around hotel looks tad rundown at night) but parking still feels safe and there is a security guard at all times. There was a teen school group there our night, but management placed on one floor, so didn't bother us at all. Staff is professional and helpful. Breakfast was above average, either I was really hungry or it just tasted better than others. Best advantage is getting to downtown locations quickly, location to interstate, and not having to pay for parking.

Stayed for three nights weekend of march 16-19. We stayed on the sixth floor facing the river so we had a nice view. Staff was very friendly, rooms clean. Staff taking care of breakfast were particularly great, making sure to keep food stocked and tables clean. Even opening a conference room across the hall when dining area became full. Good location if you are wanting to go anywhere in the city. Only a few minutes in light traffic to the aquarium or downtown. Another great Hampton!

I stayed here during a solo trip to tour the city and "get away" for a few days.

My room was a king bed on a high floor, with a view of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati. The hotel is technically in Kentucky, as it sits on the other side of the Ohio. All one needs to do is get back on I-75 North and downtown Cincinnati is less than a 3 minute drive.

The front desk is very cheerful. Check in was quick and they have a number of maps at the counter guests can take for studying the location of various attractions.

I was not more than 10 minutes(at the most) from all the major attractions in downtown (museums, ball park, restaurants). There's a great Korean restaurant on the Kentucky side called Riverside. Also, I ate at Skyline Chili twice - fantastic! There are 5 or 6 Skyline locations within 2-3 miles of the hotel. (I think)

The hotel offers water, coffee, tea, and fruit all day in the lobby. They have the standard hampton hot breakfast from 6-10am each day.

I'll book this location again during my next trip to the Cincinnati area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side of the building are quieter and have a nice view. If you want to see the Ohio...

The location was fantastic, close to downtown attractions, major thoroughfares and, with a little bend in the neck, beautiful views of the city. Downtown Covington, just a few blocks away, is also abuzz with fun stuff to do if you don't want to venture over the bridge into Cincy. The front desk was always staffed with friendly and helpful folks who took pride in their jobs, their hotel, and their town. If I travel on a budget, I would definitely stay there again, as it was a good value.

I usually stay in Hyatt hotels, so Hampton is often my value hotel of choice. The staff here is very nice, the breakfast is pretty solid for complimentary, and they have nice soft cookies at night. It's value-priced, so you can expect it to have a few "dings and dents" and I have the one peeve of the maid service throwing out my barely used soap even though I haven't checked out...whatever.
