We went to hotel after the holidays to relax and enjoy some time as a family! The visit to Embassy suites was perfect choice! The rooms offer plenty of space for a family, the evening reception allowed us to play cards while having light snacks, the pool was warm and nice way to end our evening.

Typical Embassy Suites (which are generally very good in my book) with great views of Cincinnati and easy access to both sports stadiums and downtown Cincinnati. Lobby is spacious if not particularly well decorated, but is light an open and was a nice area to relax in for a while on a very cold afternoon. Rooms are plain but spacious and comfortable - they could easily hold a family with two or three smaller children. Breakfast had a great variety and one of the best views I have had from a breakfast room. Made to order omelets were a highlight and the coffee was suprisingly good, but the buffet items were mediocre. Still, with decent fresh fruit, good oatmeal, cereal, and bagels, there was something for everyone.

Workout room was small but clean with good equipment in working order - one newer Precor eliptical, two club quality treadmills and a small weights area with dumbbells up to 50 lbs.

The hotel is about a block from the Roebling suspension bridge into Cincinnati, and it is an easy walk across the bridge to either Paul Brown Stadium or Great American Ballpark. My wife and I walked into downtown Cincinnati on a very cold day and still enjoyed the views.

There was a very loud wedding there the last night of our three night stay. We were two floors above the music, which got pretty old after a while, but the front desk staff was very gracious and moved us as soon as I raised a concern.

Overall staff was very friendly, but I didn't have a great deal of interaction with them.

One tip - the hotel will charge you $14 per night to park, but the garage underneath the hotel only charges $8 per day if you pay the normal garage rate and not the hotel rate. So if you don't need to come in and out, it will be cheaper just to pay the parking garage rate

Room Tip: Riverview rooms are worth it - great views and they are quiet as there is no road on that side and little river traffic. South side (opposite river) looks into a parking lot and a 10 story parking garage, so are pretty bad views.

There is a very loud parrot in the lobby which woke me up early in the morning. No it doesn't talk, just screams, it almost sounds like its quacking.

Other then this, it's a very nice room/hotel. Our two bed suite was very spacious. Beds are comfortable. Only criticism on the comfort is that they only had feather pillows which made my friends allergies flare.

The mattress on the pull-out couch is subpar. The hotel charges guests to use wi-fi in your guest suite. The noise level was over-the-top! The location of the hotel was convenient and met our needs. The breakfast and evening reception was average.
