Dinosaur World is and OK attraction for the very young and those who do not need much to keep them entertained. The world consist of a 1/2 mile walk along a nice path (handicap accessible) through the woods. Dinosaur statues are placed along the path. The dinosaurs are very low tech made of wire and concrete. There are no animatronics or special effects here, which in the case of young children might be a good thing but really I payed for this? They also have a 'cave movie theater' which tells about the difficultly a young dinosaur had surviving. The video is OK but inside the cave is unairconditioned and sweltering. The museum is a joke. The only highlights are the boneyard where the little ones can dig through the sand to unearth the plastic dinosaur bones underneath. Kids will also like sifting through the sand at the fossil dig. It is nice they can pick 3 small fossils to take with them. They have a small picnic and play area for small children. Please note there are no concessions here. Bring a picnic if you think you will stay longer than an hour (which you won't). The best thing for adults is the gift shop. They do have many unusual items to choose from.

My wife and I took our 3 year old son to dinosaur world on the 4th of July weekend. He loves dinosaurs more than anything in the world. The tickets were 12.75 each for the adults and 9.75 for our son. He enjoyed digging for fossils and playing in the dinosaur bones...that held his attention for 10-15 minutes. The rest of the park was filled with many life-size dinosaurs. He enjoyed looking for the dinosaurs he knows, but would not stay long at each one. There is a little playground area at the end....my son actually enjoyed that more than anything else. Overall, he had a good time, but we only spent a little over an hour there. Would be better for kids just a little bit older.

After traveling for a number of hours, we decided to stop in Cave City, Kentucky for a bit. We decided that Dinosaur World would be a fun stop and boy were we right! The life size dinosaurs were terrific and they were very nicely displayed! The information about each of the dinosaurs was great, as well. Unfortunately it was super hot the day that we stopped there, or else we would have stayed longer. I definitely recommend Dinosaur World!

This park was a planned stop on a long car trip. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. It was a very hot day and it helped that the majority of the dinosaur trail was shaded. The dinosaur statues were interesting and not too scary for the kids. My kids loved the fossil dig. They did not care for the museum or movie cave (probably due to their ages). The playground equipment was nice, but very hot, as this area is not shaded. The staff was nice and the restrooms were clean. Overall, we were pleased with our visit.

Dinosaur World looks a little like a Pigeon Forge (read: touristy) trap when you drive up. It exceeded my expectations. My husband is a big dinosaur lover, and we had fun walking along the shaded trail. There are 150 life-size dinosaur replicas in the park. We actually had fun because we disobeyed the rules and jumped over the rope to pose for photos with the dinosaurs. (It's a good thing we were there on a slow day!)

One downside is that Dinosaur World does not have any food - beyond two vending machines - in the park. You can order pizza to be delivered, and there's a picnic area. I wish there had been some food, even if it was just a generic concessions stand type of thing.

The gift shop was great because one-half of it was dedicated to actual dinosaur fossils. These were expensive, but we did pick up some affordable fossil book ends for a friend's wedding gift.

We didn't experience the problem that another person had with staff. (Though, honestly, I understand why they're not allowed to let guests into the park, where restrooms are located, before they pay.) Everyone was friendly and helpful. All in all, we probably won't visit again, but we enjoyed it for what it was.
