We had just pulled into the motel with our car after driving all day when our car's starter went out. We had plans to tour Mammoth cave the next morning and then continue driving south. However, AAA had to tow our car to the nearest AAA certified dealer in Horse City and wouldn't be ready until afternoon. The owner/manager on duty offered to drive us to the tour in the morning and then picked us up in the afternoon and brought us to our vehicle.

Thanks again to Days Inn management for saving that day of our vacation and helping us out!

The motel is under new ownership and has recently been remodeled. It was a very comfortable stay and the staff/management friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their customers.

We stayed in this hotel because of it's closeness to the Mammoth Caves. It is fairly close to the interstate so it can be quite noisy but to be honest, all we were looking for was somewhere cheap to spend the two days. It did however exceed our expectations. The pool was outdoor warm and clean, breakfast had hard boiled eggs, juices, bagels, toast, tea/coffee and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were fine, I am not fussy about rooms as long as they are clean. :) The internet signal was very weak, though I didn't really need it for much of the stay. Would stay there again.

Food tip: Eat at the Sahara Steakhouse on Happy Valley Road, best meal you'll ever have while traveling, good value also!

We sent to Mammoth Cave, KY last minute...no reservations made. We found this hotel in a coupon book at the rest area. We called them around 6:00 pm and the desk clerk told us because we had 5 in our family, the rate would be slightly higher than the coupon book quoted, but they did have a room for us, and the rate was still cheaper than it would have been regular price with our AAA discount. The desk clerk was very friendly. Our room was nice...they are in the process of remodeling. You could tell the carpet was new- the room still had that "new carpet" smell. An indoor pool would have been nice- They did have an outdoor pool but it was not the weather for outdoor swimming. Our room was on the first level, poolside. Continental breakfast wasn't bad...had mostly cereals, muffins, toast, bagels, donuts & fruit. Breakfast area was very clean. All in all was a nice stay.

Room Tip: Our room was quiet.

we were on the last day of a 12 day, cross-country business trip. We were traveling from city to city, starting in San Jose California, down the coast and then across the country on I 40 before heading north towards Ohio. We had planned to make it all the way to Pittsburgh, but were so tired we decided to pull over at the next stop and find a hotel. We found the Masters Inn. It is a small, out-of-the-way hotel, there is no restaurant attached but there is an excellent Mexican place directly across the street within walking distance for anybody.

The reason I write the review is, I am in a powered wheelchair and require a hydraulic lift to get in and out of the chair or bed. The general manager, Larry Mutter, went out of his way to get roll away beds, yes, plural beds so that I could sleep comfortably. When he realized that the normal managers on one of the roll aways, he tracked down another and brought it to our room. He didn't charges for either of them.

Other than that, the room was clean and spacious enough that we were able to relax, online and get a good night's sleep. Would certainly recommend stopping there as the hospitality of the general manager and staff in general will insure you have a great stay

We ended up at the Masters Inn without reservations at around midnight after we got too tired to make it to Louisville. We probably got a slightly higher rate as a result but got a big, clean room and a better-than-average continental breakfast (bagels, waffles). Staff was friendly, and the Masters Inn is dog-friendly (we arrived in the middle of the night with pets), but not obviously so (rooms with clean and odorfree). The staff even sent on items that we forgot in the room! Overall, good value and a friendly, straightforward place to stay.

I am delighted that you were a satisfied guest. It is my desire that every guest is treated with respect, and leave this motel with much satisfaction. We take much pride in our clean rooms and go to extra effort to keep them odor free. Our housekeepers are trained to make that "last- look" after cleaning and ask themselves as they are about to close the door- " Would I be happy staying in this room". It has worked, and my staff takes great pride in their clean rooms and service to our guests. Thanks again for staying with us.

We had one small problem with a light. We reported it in the morning and it was fixed by late afternoon when we returned. I lost an important key which a maintenance man found and returned to me. The breakfast was not fancy, but the food was fresh and plentiful. The room and the motel in general was well-maintained. There was no problem with the ventilation in the room unlike a lot of places.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. It makes all the work so easy when we serve nice guests as you and your wife. My staff and I treat everyone as we would like to be treated, and it generally is very rewarding. When in Kentucky our door is always open with welcoming arms for a future visit. Thanks again.
