Visited Burkesville for my husband's birthday - fishing was the priority, however we found the Alpine to be a quaint, perfect addition to each day. Stayed for three nights and used the pool, balcony, and other amenities that came with the room. We had a private balcony with a great view for a very reasonable price. It was homey, yet newly decorated and very clean. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating - even acknowledged my husband's birthday with chocolates! We came away with lasting memories of our stay and a trophy fish! Restaurants are limited; El Rey was good for dinner, if you like Mexican, Annie Ruby's had excellent soup and sandwiches, and will be trying the BBQ on Hill St. Harrison's? for dinner - heard it was great BBQ.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that requires no stairs if you have any aversion to steps; some rooms have a flight u...

So glad you enjoyed your stay. That was a BIG fish you guys caught.

The restaurant on Hill Street--just down the hill from the Alpine--is called Hamilton's BBQ and is open Thursday through Saturday and is very good. Some of our guests have actually purchased extra BBQ from there just to take home with them.

We are so glad we were able to help make a great birthday. We look forward to seeing you again!

We stayed there on Friday night June 13 2014. It was a comfortable and charming place to stay. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The price was in the $100 a night range and we made our reservation in advance. We had room 210 with two queens, a small table and chairs and a little sink/microwave/fridge center. There are no phones in the room. The room had been remodeled down to the studs with pretty new carpet and tile and everything was spotless. The beds are the icomfort type mattresses very comfortable and the linens were all very soft and comfortable as well. The bath is very small but adequate and totally remodeled. There is a tub shower combo. Towels were soft and fluffy. Only con in the bath is there is nowhere to sit your shampoo or soap except on the edge of the tub while you shower. Need to add something in the corner of the tub/shower combo for supplies. Also the water pressure is very low but they probably have to pump it up from the "mainland" of Burkesville! The outside view is amazing . There is only a little bench on the balcony so if you want to sit out and read you could bring a camp chair. The tv is a flatscreen and they get a lot of channels, no movie channels but it was certainly fine. And they have Wi-Fi which made my husband happy. I will certainly stay there again on my next trip to that area. Almost everything I could say is a pro. My con was the balcony light is always on and the door to the balcony has three small windows in it that aren't covered. It was very bright in the room because of that. I like total darkness so that may just be a personal preference. I would be great if they would change the doors out to windowless doors though :) Also, there is no food service up at the motel so you have to eat down in Burkesville where the restaurants are extremely limited. You can't walk unless you are a mountain climber.... But overall, it was a very nice stay and I would recommend the Alpine Motel to others staying in this quite little village. They have done a really good job with the renovation!

Room Tip: The entire motel was super quiet. There are rooms that are walk in from the parking lot with no sta...

Thanks for such a thorough review of your stay at the Alpine. We have certainly been working hard to make this a great place. Your concerns are being addressed so that all of our guests can experience the perfect stay. We have taken care of those balcony door windows--no more light through there. I do apologize for that, but rest assured, it is now taken care of thanks to your mention of them. Also, the shelves in the showers/tubs are being taken care of as well. The biggest issue was certainly that water pressure. We had about 3 weeks of working with Burkesville water to get this issue resolved--the guys at the water company are GREAT! They worked really hard to get everything set up correctly and we now have very good water pressure way up here on the hill. I look forward to seeing you again!

We were there for a funeral. Got discounts for this reason. They are remodeling the whole thing. Everyone there were very hospitable and nice. The View is amazing. I am originally form Burkesville, so I knew the view was great and the people were friendly. We stayed there about 8 months ago for our honeymoon stay. They are improving everyday. I hope they can do well; because it has the potential to be a great getaway place. The rates were actually cheaper than any where else in Burkesville. (with new rooms)

Room Tip: We had a back side room with a great view; but I think the front rooms are designed for a view also.

We were passing through Burksville, planning on staying in the next town, until we looked up and saw the beautiful Alpine Lodge, nestled in the lush hilltop. The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. We were checked in and unpacked in 20 minutes! The room was great. All new and clean. And the view! It was beautiful. We go to Dale Hollow Lake frequently, and plan on staying at the Alpine on our way back each time!

Beautiful rooms and surroundings. The staff is so friendly and always goes out of their way to make sure you are content and comfortable. It is off the beaten path but close enough to the main roads to make it easy to get to, There are many restaurants and scenic attractions near by.

Room Tip: I loved the room with the patio which has a door going out to it.

Always stayed in Burkesville for the Annual European Riders Rally. But after12+ years of camping out in the beautiful city park, opted to share a room at the Alpine Motel way up the hill on a wonderful (for the biker) twisty road. Friends had stayed there years ago when it was in downgrade but surprisingly it was rebought with great effort being put into it to and we were impressed. Rooms modern & super comfy - private balconies on top floor and walk through balcony on bottom - great views of the town and surrounding countryside. Still needs a lot of work and the big family managing it is really hustling to get it done. Expect great things when we return next year.

Room Tip: All rooms come with a priceless view.

Excellent quiet place to stay. Newly remodeled. Shower pressure is a little weak, but we enjoyed this place. Upper rooms have a quiet balcony to sit outside with a newspaper in the morning or just sit outside and enjoy its fantastic view. The towels are folded into swans. We would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: second floor has private balconies

So sorry about the water pressure. I contacted the city right after I read your post. They have our water shut down right now and are working to correct the issue with the pressure. This pressure situation occurred during our busiest time and during our highest water usage. Burkesville water is now correcting this situation and we will not have to worry about that again.
Thanks for your kind review. We look forward to seeing you again!
