“Very cool pool area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

Loved this pool they use salt water instead of chlorine so much better. The pool atrium is worth choosing this hotel. The room was very clean nice tv. We would stay again. Breakfast could have been more. But not really for the price it was a GREAT deal. Loved the 3 ladies we met at the front desk to they were all sweet and very helpful

Arrived and expected to be able to watch TV.
Couldn't get signal.
Maintenance man arrivef. Said he had to reprogram television. One hour kater, still waiting.
In the meantime, I went to get ice. Ice machine on 3rd floor was broken. Walked to 2nd floor. Ice machine broken. Finally got ice on first floor.
Neither elevator had an inspection certificate.
Went into bathroom. Closed the door and found a used towel hanging on the hook. Yuk!
Lots of hotels in the area. Don't stay here.

Rooms were dirty and in desperate need of updating. Bed comforter and sheets were stained. Non-smoking room smelled horrible, you could tell someone had smoked in the room. Curtains did not close properly. Smoke alarm was duct taped to ceiling. Hair all over carpet. Bathroom ceiling stained due to water leaks. Poor breakfast selection. Not worth the eighty bucks plus tax. We had to stay here because there were no other nicer places available. Don't make the same mistake we made.

I didn't see any Greenwood options but it's associated with Jameson with shared check in desk. So for the good ... Price was excellent ... fantastic indoor heated pool area with hottub which you never see in a bargain hotel spot. My room was comfortable, bathroom area was a little dated but not bad. My room opened into the pool area. If you are very particular then you should probably pick a higher end spot ... there were burn marks in the carpet in my non-smoking room (I could not smell any left over smoke of any sort though so assume it might've been a smoking room eons ago) ... some furniture stains. Continental breakfast is entirely forgettable which is understandable with Denny's part of the hotel. For the money I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Grab a coupon book at one of the many rest areas for a great deal

Stopped on way from south Tx to Mi after a long drive this was a pleasant surprise. Always check Tripadviser for reviews, the reviews were good so gave it a try. Price was very good (under $70) and room comfortable. Cris at check in was friendly and helpful.Flat screen tv,refrigerator, micro, clean. Ate at Denny's connected to hotel ( 15% discount.) everything was good. Would stop again recommend to others.

This used to be Best Western and Baymont (? I think it was Baymont since that's what shows in my gps map and there isn't a Baymont here) next door. I know they've combined two hotels - one which accepts pets (Greenwood Inn) and the other doesn't (Jameson) . The room was nice, especially for the price. The only thing I didn't like about the room was a missing door knob on the closet and the toilet tank lid didn't fit the tank. The rooms have large dorm sized refrigerators, microwave, and small coffee makers. The blow dryers are very very small but work decently. There was a small bottle of Pantene shampoo & conditioner. Blankets were very thin but the heat in the room cranked up a bit higher than normal fixed that.

There's a gorgeous indoor pool in a huge greenhouse type atrium. 1' deep Whirlpool AND a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was a bit hot, pool wasn't too cold and is large. Both the jacuzzi and pool have lifts for handicap accessibility. Pool closes at 10pm which is a bit early, in my opinion.

Inside the atrium are also about 7 arcade games. They're not plugged in but if needed the front desk will turn them on. There's a laundry room in the atrium with two washers and two dryers. The vending machine for detergent was out of order with a sign "detergent at the front desk - if available"

For the summer there is a nice outdoor pool, basketball court and a nice picnic grove with trees and picnic tables and grill.

I'd give them 5 stars EXCEPT -

Breakfast was very lacking. There's a jug of some sort of orange juice, bagels, bread/toast, banana nut mini muffins, frosted flakes, plain corn flakes, jug of milk, apples (on the 2nd day there were only 2 apples left at 8am) all set up on a table outside the laundry room. There's a two-slice toaster that looks very old and either burns toast or doesn't cook it. It's just sitting there with no attendant and the tables were all dirty at 8am. There was coffee and hot water for tea but no tea bags. This is a shame since a lot of the hotels around here have free hot breakfasts.

The rooms weren't really dirty other than a bit of coffee drops on the wall that were there when we checked in and still there after the room was cleaned the 2nd day we were there. Even with a note to the maid left with the tip. The inside of the coffee maker water reservoir was DISGUSTING. I also asked for extra towels and none were left, no coffee packs the 2nd day or soap or shampoo/conditioner. There was also hair still on the side of the tub, which tells me the tub hadn't been cleaned (it was clean when we arrived this was only after our 2nd day)

Staff has been very pleasant and nice to talk with. Very helpful with directions and suggestions. I've only ever seen 1 person working at a time. IMO this is a mistake. There's too much here for 1 person.

This place is very close (10 min) to Lost River tour and about 15-20 min to Mammoth Caves. It is also very close to Western Kentucky University, great affordable place to stay for graduation or just visiting.

There are ALL the usual chain restaurants right down the street with Dominoes Pizza around the corner which is nice to order and eat while the kids are swimming. Walmart, Target, JcPenney, Dillard's all down the street. I'd stay here again, hopefully in the future they'll have better maid service and newer paint and have the place cleaned up a bit more.

Room Tip: Call the hotel directly for prices. I found this place through Travelocity but got a better rate fro...

Great hotel with a beautiful atrium with a salt water pool! I can't say enough about the staff and how wonderful they are. I highly recommend this hotel! Whenever we are in town we stay here. You should too!
