First off, it should be noted, the resturaunt in the photo is NOT The Lunch Box Cafe, it is the Fifth Street Diner on the corner of Fifth and Center streets near across from Roland Bland Park. Lunch Box Cafe is located on Center Street near the federal building, justice center and, the ballpark...its an older building, and really not much to look at from the outside, do not let this deter you from checking it out it is really pretty tasty. Its a classic American greasy spoon joiny, if you are looking for some good old fashioned cooking, you must check this place out. It stays pretty packed during lunch hours(a lot of the sherrifs department and courthouse employees frequent the resturaunt, and the staff are pretty friendly. Go, sit back and enjoy a burger and some fries.

I have been a 'local' of bowling green for 6 years now and this continues to be my favorite lunch spot no matter how many places I try.
It is a hole in the wall, parking is scarce, and you are lucky if you get a table around lunch time but it is worth it! There is only one waitress and she knows most everyone by heart along with their drink order, what time they come in, and what they typically order. She is great! You have to ask for a menu since most everyone knows it by heart. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, however the spicy chicken tenders with fries and ranch is my go to. Even their fries are fresh cut with homemade ranch dressing (it's pretty great!)

This is my favorite restaurant in Bowling Green. Everything is home made and is fresh. Best chicken tenders ever. Home made ranch dressing, and honey mustard is to die for. Great affordable prices, clean and friendly staff.

I've not been there for dinner(supper). You'll see lots local workers & professionals having breakfast, & a good place to "Learn The Local Gossip"!!! The waitresses are charming & great ! They even have local "Kirby & Poe" sausage, if you ask. Near the downtown area, convenient, but not the easiest to see. (On the side of the Pioneer Cemetary, & across from the Skate Park & tennis courts.). LOTS of PARKING, & LOTS of room inside. A good full breakfast for less than $5.
