“"Chicago Style"....Um No.”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We had heard great things about this place when we first moved to Bowling Green so we were really excited to try it. We went on Saturday afternoon and were the only customers there. I am hoping we just had a fluke experience and hopefully we may return and have a better one. Anyway, Lost River boasts about award winning pizza so we thought it had to be at least decent. Yikes. We were horribly disappointed. We ordered a "Chicago Style" supreme pizza. When the waitress brought it out, it looked great though I would have used a different pan to serve it on since the one it was on looked kind of gross and was warped so it would not sit flat on the table. When I tried to serve my husband a slice, all the toppings sloushed off and lo and behold, we realized the pizza was thin crust with a tall raised crust on the borders (to give the appearance of a true Chicago style pizza). The toppings from the rest of the pizza sloushed in where the we had taken slices out. There was NO sauce. A few (very few) tomatoes were sprinkled on top (I'm guessing this was the sauce?) The crust was super crispy and because the topping would not stay on, almost impossible to eat. For the amount we paid for our pizza, we expected a little better. Heck, even Little Caesar's has acutal thick crust! Like I said, I really hope it was simply a fluke and we went on a bad day but seriously guys, don't advertise a Chicago Style pizza if you aren't going to make it somewhat right. We will be returning only to give this place another chance. If you do decide to go, get the thin crust. I'm guessing that's what everyone who likes this place gets.

“Not Your Average Pizza!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

If you like pizza that is truly unique and not the run-of-the-mill type, this is your place! Wonderful homemade crust; so many different toppings and combinations. Pizzas are large and filling! Also have excellent beer choices; many unique local varieties. Excellent, passionate servers.

“Great pizza and beer selections!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Try this "out of the way" pizza parlor in Bowling Green. Far enough away from the Western KY campus to allow you to have a great meal at a good price. Live music is also a plus most nights. Specialty pizzas are very creative and the beer selection is top notch - from lagers to ales, they're all here.

“Almost no cheese on pizza.”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We ordered a deep dish from here, very excited for it. When it was delivered, we noticed it had maybe a sprinkle of cheese on the entire pizza. It was almost all sauce, and about the thickness of a normal pizza you'd get from Domino's. We didn't favor the sauce for it. All in all, we were very disappointed in our $24 pizza.

“Great pizza and beer options”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Lost River has some great pizza options for any appetite. I've several different kinds, from deep dish loaded pies to a simple thin crust margherita. They have several craft beers on draft and even more in the bottle. Great place to socialize
