“Room OK, but problems”
Reviewed August 12, 2007

When I checked out, their printer wasn't working, so I was promised a receipt by email. It never arrived. I emailed two weeks after my stay asking for a receipt. A month later, it is still not here...Vending and ice machines, the guide said, were on every floor, but my floor had none. laundry service order form included things they wouldn't wash, so I wound up having to do it myself after finding out they didn't do the laundry all day. Their staff seems too busy to offer decent service at the front desk. When I asked about a business center, they sent me over to the Holiday Inn, saying they would let me use theirs as a courtesy. Holiday Inn did not have one either...

We stayed at the Berea Country Inn and Suites for one night. The road leading to the hotel is not marked clearly. There was only one desk employee when we arrived. He seemed to be taking care of everything. Although we checked in fairly early we didn't get the rollaway we had asked for with our reservation until 9:10 PM after several requests. By the time we started taking showers we discovered that the shower curtain was too short to stay in the tub. The bathroom was flooded and appeared to have been many times in the past. We were only offered lots of towels to clean up. The room was large, decorated nicely, and very clean although the sheets were scratchy to the touch. The breakfast room and food were above average. The pool was very clean. We paid about $80 which was a good value, but a little more staff and care for the details would make it outstanding.

This was the second time we've stayed at this hotel. Each time we've found it to be clean & the front desk staff helpful & friendly. We've not had the breakfast so can't comment on that, but we have found the driveway to the hotel difficult to find after dark. Was told last year a light was being put in, but it hasn't. Fortunately this time we knew where to turn. The area is growing and seems well kept.

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our honeymoon. It appears to be brand new. We had a jacuzzi suite, which also contained a mini-fridge, large tv, shower/tub that has the half-circle shower curtain rod, and free wi-fi. The room was spacious and clean with the exception of a half-drank bottle of pop in the mini-fridge, which had clearly been missed by the cleaning crew. Aside from that it seemed very clean.

The breakfast was a step up from the usual continental. Toast, cereal, french toast!, bagels, microwavable bacon/egg/cheese biscuts!, juice, coffee, etc... A bit nicer than the average breakfast on the go.

The desk employee, though told it was our honeymoon, did not offer us anything special. Slightly disappointing!

We've always had great experiences at Country Inn & Suites and would highly recommend this one and the chain in general.

Nice new hotel near Berea KY.

Pros: New and clean, all modern convinences. Indoor pool, Nice continental plus style breakfast and fresh baked cookies at front desk.

Cons: Noisy when busy. Dining room Can be crowded at breakfast time if they are full.

Stayed here for a few days in May. New so very clean and up to date. First night was fine, but then they were pretty full with a wedding party. This included many kids. Pool was pretty busy after that. Dining room was almost full in the mornings and you had to wait to heat toast and use the microwave. Worst part was kids and adults were slamming doors and talking loudly in the halls, even late into the night. Breakfast consisted of standard continental fare plus boiled eggs, ready to heat bacon, and ready to heat french toast. The hotel itself is great, but just be aware on a weekend it might be noisy and crowded if theya re full.

The hotel is nice and the service was above average. The breakfast was sparse for what was served, same as most with, toast, muffins, various juices and cereals. The indoor pool was very clean. The fitness room offered two tread mills. We paid $82 after taxes per night. I would recommend this for the traveler. Rooms were very well kept and clean the hotel has just been built.
