“Don't Miss This! Lovely Handiwork, Indeed.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The Artisan's Center has something for everyone--beautiful art crafts and things at all price points. The greeters are very warm and welcoming, and can tell you anything you want to know about the area. They'll make suggestions about other places to visit in Berea if you're interested--and which I highly recommend! When we entered the gift shop--which is large and beautifully appointed and designed--I found a number of terrific folk art items, books, CD's and blown glass items there that would make wonderful gifts to take home to loved ones. My 11-year-old stepdaughter found lots to interest her--cornshuck doll kits and books about folk tales from Kentucky, along with the beautiful glass. I didn't eat at the center, but I can highly recommend it just for the experience.

“Much more than a rest area”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Whle driving through Kentucky, we stopped here, thinking it was a typical rest stop / welcome center. However, it is so much more. There are live musicians, craft demonstrations (while we were there, a gentleman was using a lathe to create wooden hats / lampshades), and a great variety of arts and crafts. There was also a snack bar, which we did not visit. Looking forward to stopping again the next time I'm in the area.

“A Stop Well Worth Your While”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

If I were a Kentucky tax payer I would be so pleased to see how well my tax dollars were used in this lovely facility. Just off the highway outside of Berea, it is welcome respite from the tedium of driving. A lovely lady greats you on your way in to explain what is available on the site. There is a visitor's center fully stocked with myriad of brochures about Kentucky as well as a beautiful gift shop that meanders its way through the building offering the best of craft products from Kentucky. And oh your weary traveler, what lovely bathrooms! A small coffee shop rounds out the offerings!

“Unique Craftwork at the Artisan”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

The KY Artisan Center has numerous unique displays of KY craftsmanship. The prices are not cheap, but even if you don't purchase anything, it's worth a stop especially since it's right off I-75. And if you're hungry you can have a taste of some good KY cooking.

“Beautiful art and affordable gifts”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Artisan Center is a lovely facility with some beautiful Kentucky art. There is art made from glass, wood, metal, fiber, pottery, gourds, etc. This is top notch art work. The items displayed change regularly with special exhibits featuring different types of art. There is a restaurant and gift shop as well. It is conveniently located at exit 77 off of Interstate 75. I live near Berea and stop in regularly and it is always enjoyable.
