“All about the art”
Reviewed November 25, 2011

berea is all about arts and crafts so the artisan center is the best place to see a wonderful collection of arts and crafts. If you want postcards from Kentucky,,they are there or if you want some Bybee Pottery, they have that too! If you want to have a taste of Kentucky then you can do that too! The Artisan Center is one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon.

“If all rest stops were like this, the interstates would be packed.”
Reviewed October 29, 2011

What a delightful stop whether northbound or soutbound on I-75. Nice parking area, clean restrooms, safe. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, shopping too. Local crafts and many unique items will tempt you. Even if you don't have 'to go', you might want to stop by and stretch your legs. Nice place!

“Nice clean travel stop - good for a break with crafts”
Reviewed October 23, 2011

Clean stop with restrooms, room for rvs/buses, and lots of nice local crafts and gourmet foods (jams, sauces, etc.). If you're on I-75 in KY I'd recommend stopping, easily the nicest place to stretch your legs.

“As good as it gets for anyone looking for local artisan craftwork”
Reviewed October 11, 2011

This artisan center really does have something for everyone, but is just the beginning of what Berea has to offer. Several storefronts near the college, and in "Old Town" have craft studios open for browsing and questions. We found a beautiful dulcimer made right in Berea, and a hand-stitched quilt by Appalacian quilters. Much of the best the area has to offer can be found right here in the Artisans Center, just before you enter the town itself. Highly recommended for anyone travelling in Kentucky.

“Unique and High Quality”
Reviewed October 4, 2011

If you're looking for quality crafts, this is the place. From clay to fiber to metal. And the prices are right. We found several Christmas gifts for some of our hard to shop for friends and relatives.

Stop here if you're anywhere in the area... and it's worth going out of your way for a look see.
