Owner description: One of many craft stores in Berea, this one offers mainly student-made items, from quilts to wrought iron crafts.

Berea College has a long tradition of teaching traditional crafts to students as part of the curriculum. The Log House showcases items made by students. Everything from fine furniture, blown glass, pottery, metal work, jewelry, carved wood, hand-woven rugs & placemats and much more, are for sale there.

Everything is gorgeous. Prices are sometimes high but many things sold there are heirloom items and took a long time to make. You won't believe how beautiful the items for sale are.

So worth a visit!

The sign reads Berea College Log House Craft Gallery. Inside are some interesting, sometimes uniqure, offerings of hand-crafted items, including woodworked crafts, metal-worked offerings and even some blown glass and other items. The prices are high, but it is certainly worth a vsit if you are in Berea.

If you're looking for a taste of Appalachian handicraft, whether it be hand thrown pottery, corn brooms, wooden kitchen wares or linens, ... stained glass... jewelry,... blown glass... candles or soap, ... or beautiful furniture, THIS is the place to be! Prices are reasonable, considering all of the care that's put into each piece, and considering that the Berea students have made them under the tutelage of mastercrafts people. If you're not familiar with Berea's mission statement, do yourself the honor of reading it. You'll never be the same. You'll see this town in a way you've never seen it before; you'll fall in love with it!

Worth the stop. So many unique and interesting gifts to choose from, some made by the students at Berea College. We spent around 30 minutes here.

My sister and I truly enjoyed this place. The craftsmanship of the items was first rate. We walked out with pottery, brooms, beautiful hand painted glass & wood bowls and jewelry. Believe me there was more I wanted but I practiced a wee bit of self control. Great store and it benefits Berea College so great cause!
