The accommodations were absolutely perfect and the staff was great. Prices were lower than comparative resorts in the area. More than everything we needed and wanted at a fair price. The cabin was clean and tidy. Great covered marina. The fishing was out of this world good. We stayed for two weeks and plan to go back next year.

We have been visiting King Creek as couples once a year since 2013, and always enjoy our stay here. The cabins are always clean (we either stay in Cabin #1 or Cabin #2) and the staff very accommodating. Our friends bring their boat, and they like that there are covered boat slips available (and clearly visible from Cabin #1 and Cabin #2, as well as some of the other cabins). We usually cook 2 meals a day each day, and bring most all of our own food. This year, our refrigerator wasn't working properly, and Jim Sr. and Jim Jr. delivered a replacement refrigerator promptly (thanks, Jims!). The kitchen is always adequately stocked with dishes, bowls, pots/pans, etc., for ease in cooking.

The gals shop and the guys fish, so everyone is happy. The guys caught fish every day, blue cats, channel catfish and a few bass. Biggest fish was around 9 pounds. They like the handy cleaning station on the boat dock, and certainly utilized it.

Shopping in the area is a 20-40 minute drive in different directions. Paducah offers a good variety of things to do: shopping, visiting the Quilt Museum, viewing the flood wall murals downtown, just to name a few activities. Murray is a quaint little college town - our favorite restaurant there is Dumplins, which we visit every year. It is in a small strip shopping center with a clothing boutique neighboring each side. If antiques are your thing, Twin Lakes Antique Mall is clean, well organized and has a great variety. We were headed to Patti's Settlement for lunch, but were sorry to learn from the folks at Twin Lakes that the restaurant at Patti's had a fire and is no longer there. They did say there is a food truck parked there until the restaurant rebuilds. We did discover a charming little dining experience this year: Lite Side Cafe and Bakery in Grand Rivers. We had a light lunch of Reuben Shooter Sandwiches and Potato Salad, which included one of the owner's hand made muffins (which are to die for). She uses no oils in baking her muffins - she uses yogurt instead. We would highly recommend this charming little place - she serves breakfast and lunch and has limited hours.

A couple of suggestions....
- Bring your bug spray! We were attacked by mosquitoes every evening as soon as we walked out of the door of our cabin. Perhaps the property has been treated by now.
- Bring hand soap. There was a small sliver of wrapped soap in the bathrooms that only lasted a couple of days.

We look forward to returning to King Creek next year!

The campground was nice and clean and the employees were very accommodating to what we needed. The boat we rented was nice and was the best deal that we saw around. One of the people working the campground named Jim gave us free wood since we were in tents and it was cold outside. My friends and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get off the grid and have some fun. We will definitely be going back to this place in the future.

Had a great time at King Creek Resort and Marina for a week in early April. Big Jim and the staff here were really great, helped us every day with anything we needed. Facilities were very clean and kept up everyday. Rented one of their bass trackers for four days, ran great the entire trip. Will definitely be back in the future and would recommend checking out King Creek Resort and Marina to anyone going to the Kentucky Lake area. Thanks for everything Jim.
