Just returned from Hampton Inn in Bardstown, Ky. It was wonderful. The beds were so comfortable and the room was spotless. I thought the hotel was brand new, but it is actually about 12 yrs old. The staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was nice. We were attending a wedding at My Old Kentucky Home and it was close by. I would definitely stay there again!

Just returned from a three-night stay at the Hampton Inn in Bardstown. I have stayed at this property many times over the years and always have found it comfortable. The rooms seem a little larger than average and are attractively decorated. The bed was comfortable and had two kinds of pillows - one feather and one foam-filled. A portable lap desk was provided for reading or writing while in bed, which is a nice touch. The bathroom had a curved shower curtain rod to provide more room in the shower. This kept the wet curtain from clinging to you while showering. The bathroom was adequate but could have benefitted from a remodel; still, it was in decent shape (no broken tile, etc.).

This property is conveniently located to the downtown historic area as well as the major connecting highways to visit nearby attractions. It is quiet and attractively furnished, especially the public areas. The breakfast buffet is pretty standard stuff - fruit, cereal, pastries and breads - plus some sort of hot dish that ranged from sausage gravy for biscuits to some sort of Mexican egg casserole. I would have preferred just plain scrambled eggs, but that's just a personal preference.

The staff was efficient and friendly. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in this area.

It's often hard to find decent hotels (even chains) in small towns like this one. But we were very pleased with the accomodations and amenities at the Hampton Inn Bardstown. We were in town for two days for a nearby wedding and we stayed in a king room with sofabed (2 adults, 2 kids - ages 8 and 4) -- $93/night. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The pool was quite warm - very much like bathwater! - and had windows that opened to allow fresh air in from outside, which was quite pleasant. The free breakfast wasn't that great -- mexican eggs one day, then poached the next -- but it wasn't bad either; there were plenty of bagels and cereal ... again, not bad for free. And the complimentary wireless internet was very helpful. Overall, we'd certainly stay at this hotel again!

Stopped here on our way to Mammoth Cave. We had a coupon that we got at the Kentucky Welcome Center on I-75 in Northern Kentucky. Got a room with two double beds. The room was very clean, bathroom was nice and clean, but not too elaborate. The free high-speed internet was a big plus for us, so the kids and I could use/play on our laptop. We had the pool to ourselves on the evening of our arrival and the next morning (we were staying on a Tuesday night).

About the only thing that wasn't top notch was the bed. It was very clean, and the comforter was nice (not the usual ugly, plastic feeling kind), but the bed was VERY firm. Some may like it, but it was a bit too firm for me.

The free breakfast was OK, the eggs and bisquits were good, but no breakfast meats were served. Had the usual muffins, plain bagels, juice, etc. Fairly typical.

We stayed at this property for two nights. Friendly staff except for one very grumpy man who was somehow mad at ME when the toilet overflowed. And he got dirty footprints all over the bathroom floor and didn't clean up.
Room set-up was strange, but the bed was comfortable. Heat was smelly and loud.
Breakfast buffet was acceptable, but nothing special at all.
