We arrived in Bardstown and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We had heard about the Talbot Inn but the reviews were not outstanding (although great on ambiance)...one reviewer suggested Kreso's Family Restaurant...so we went. Just delicious. Order the Chicken special; spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast in a yummy parm. cheese sauce. Very nice meal right in the center of historic Bardstown. Great atmosphere for an after dinner walk.

Thank Julie P

My husband and I sat at the bar and had salads and crab cakes. Both salads and the crab cakes were wonderful! We also had a few drinks and dessert. Dessert was divine! Service was extremely slow, our glasses sat empty for way too long. Also, it was rather obvious that they were ready for us to leave prior to closing. Not only us but also the other couple sitting at the bar. I would have understood this behavior had it been close to closing time but it wasn't, or if we would have been the only patrons in the restaurant. Regardless, the food was good. So rush in and east the get the heck out ;)

We took a long weekend trip to Bardstown to embark on the Bourbon Trail. For dinner we went to Kreso's Restaurant, which is a charming restaurant in an old movie theater. My husband and I had soup and salads, and our friends ordered Schnitzel. The food was all very good, and the owners stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our meals. We loved all the artwork on the walls in their exquisite frames.

A very nice restaurant in an old theater / opera house right on the the main street less than a block from the square. I can verify that the Medterranien and Bosnian Salads were good along with the stuffed mushrooms, but the crab cakes were a bit of a dissappointment, more filler than crab meat. Asise from that a pleasant place to have a nice dinner.

Good old world food. IF you're in the mood for some good schnitzel, definately a good choice. Good service, good value.
