“Nice History”

Enjoyed the bourbon history, good exhibit hall. Folks at this center are friendly and helpful -seemed to enjoy their work and interaction with visitors. Glad we stopped for a look!

“No real Tour”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

The Heaven Hill Heritage Center doesnt have a tour of the facility but they have a tour guide take you through and explain the history of Heaven Hill Distillaries. The best part of our trip was tour guide Deb. She was very informative and very funny and we learned some new things about Bourbon we didnt know before her tour. If going ask for her and it makes this worth a stop.

“Even people who don't drink will love this place”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

We don't drink but took this tour last September. We have been to Jack Daniels in TN and this is pretty similar. An added bonus is you can take the tour that takes you to the historic downtown area of Bardstown as well as the distillery.

Even if you don't drink, you will find this place fascinating.

“Best Bourbon Tasting Experience”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

The best part of their tour is their tasting. After a video on bourbon making with an emphasis on their process, you enter their tasting room. What an experience! It takes several minutes as they explain how to drink bourbon. The drive home that it's never to be consumed "neat". At least one drop of water... You'll need to experience it to understand. Make Heaven Hill part of your experience in bourbon country.

“A museum of Bourbon and Tour Centre”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We enjoyed this facility for its museum character and its offering of Trolley tours of Bardstown. Though we paid for a 12:00 tour, the trolley wasn't scheduled to leave until 1:00 pm. The tour guide was embarrassed for this screw-up and eagerly refunded our money, but offered a free tour if we returned. After a quick lunch in town we took her up on the offer. The tour was very informative, interesting and scenic. We gave her the tour fee as a tip. Ask her to talk about the distillery fires of days gone by.

The gift shop is interesting, but beware. The Tea towels are packed showing the imprinting, giving the impression that the entire tea towel is covered with design. Only the 5" x 10" part showing on the package is actually printed...the rest of the towel (24" x 28") is plain and not fully imprinted...rather disappointing.
