we came across this tour really by accident. So my wife and I thought it be a good stop from driving. wow where we glad we did . Beatiful place very informative and not too long of a tour 1hr with shopping after maybe 11/2 hrs.Lots of fun and I found out that I could enjoy a little snort now and then.

There is a short film, a museum of sorts and a nice gift shop in the visitors center. The tour only included the warehouse yet it was informative. The bourbon tasting was like a wine tasting because Michele taught us how to properly taste bourbon.

We had been through the other 5 stops on the boubon trail so opted to try something different and go on the Trolley Tour. Paul was a great tour guide and we learned some tinteresting facts not only about Hean Hill but some of the other distilleries as well. Beautiful visitor center/ heritage museum with a great selection. Whie we did not go into the tasting room, you could hear what was going on and the explaination of the tasting process was the best of the major distilleries.

The Bourbon tour was interesting and informative, the highlight of course was the tasting of the different products. The warehousing side of business was a large part of the tour and it is a pity that distillation is no longer done at the premises,The museum is well worth a visit as is the gift shop. All in all well worth the effort.

We were in Bardstown, camping at the old ky home state park and headed to Louisville. We heard there were some better tours than Heaven Hill but we were short on time. We did the mini-tour, $3, and it was mostly enjoyable because the tour guide Bob, think his name was Bob (vertically challenged, bald, ex-school teacher, married) was a hoot! He really knew how to drink. I mean, he really knew how to drink bourbon (and single malt scotch). He was very informative and really entertaining. If you go, ask for Bob.
