“Normally excellent, not most recent.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

We've visited Talbot's Tavern numerous times and it is normally excellent food and service. Our most recent visit proved otherwise. The food was mediocre (country fried steak and prime rib sandwich). The restaurant was dirty. Lights were dusty with cobwebs, potato chips on the floor and dust on shelves. Our table had food crusted on it. The waitress was nice, but talked bad about the food. If this had been our first visit, it would have been our last.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Great food, really fun experience! The architecture of the building and the history is really cool. There is a decent selection of food on the menu and everything we had was very good. Plan to spend $15-20 an entree, but the food is well prepared and tasty. Very fun experience that you can tell your friends about.

“Historic and pleasant restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

Great atmosphere and friendly service. I was disappointed that there are not any vegetarian entrees on their menu but I found that to be the case more often that not on our trip to this area of KY. I still enjoyed a soup and my husband had a tasty meal.

“Not cheap but good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

I had the beef wrap and it was so good, veggie ones were ordered and some pickles. It was a carry out. Came in where the lobby and it was right there, ready for me. They have the postcards where the cash register is.

Love how the place looks, too. You get some feel as if you're in a castle.

“Historic, restaurant, bourbon bar & B&B.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

The Talbott Tavern serves a lot of purposes and has historic significance. It has a great restaurant, bourbon bar and it is a B&B. Also located on the Court Square in downtown Bardstown.
