We stopped by late in the day and couldn't get in to see the tour. Further we were surprised that we couldn't get a tasting! The grounds look beautiful and we hoped to see the buildings but they couldn't let us. I guess they just lost a customer.

Having visited other large Bourbon distilleries, we were so glad we stopped in at Willet's. This family owned distillery has a great tour. In fact we had the privilege of taking our tour with Drew, the Master Distiller and family member, who now oversees the distillery. Growing up in the distillery business, Drew has a passion for his craft. Being a small company, they do a some things much different than the larger distillers. Walking through the distillery Drew shared his family history and their beginnings in 1936 with opening Willet Distilling Company. We even got a sip before it is diluted and aged. Strong stuff! In the tasting room we especially liked the Willet Pot Still Reserve (which also comes in a "Still" shaped bottle). Glad we visited this unique family distillery.

Visiting Willett's was a must on our trip as their bourbons are outstanding. They focus on quality and not quantity and it shows. The tour was quaint - not a big production but definitely worth it to see their pot still. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. Make sure you try their special bourbons that are only available on site - 10 year old bourbon and 10 year old rye whiskey.

Stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to meet the master distiller. Short tour was less detail than most, but very relaxed. The gift shop was very nicely merchandised. Most importantly, these people are making very, very good bourbon. They make up in quality what their neighbors make up in quantity.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour. It was really nice. Not as informative as others but nice. Beautiful atmosphere. Gift shop is beautiful. They have two option on the tour. One, $7.00 with out glass. $10.00 with glass. Their whiskey and bourbon are good. It is a small distillery.

Thank Kathy F
