“Great food!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

My wife and I recently ate there as part of a wedding rehearsal dinner. I had the pork chop and she had the filet. Both were excellent...perfectly cooked, tender and delicious. The service was great, as was the atmosphere.

“great food, great staff, don't miss!”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

I ate here 2x in two nights. I sat with the owners at the bar enjoying some of their 10,000 bourbons (ok i exaggerate but there's easily over 100!) and eating on one occasion a very nice steak (with crazy good green beans!) and a overstuffed club sandwich on another. some places in the area force the bourbon relationship to food a little too much but i found their touch here just right. Susan and her husband were genuine and kind, bar and wait staff were friendly and hardworking too. as others have said, this place is hard to find when you are inside and eating your dinner. just look for the first big building on xavier and head towards the lighted gates.

“Great find in Bardstown”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of a B&B we were staying in. Yes, as everyone says, it is a little hard to find, but we didn't have that much trouble once we parked in the lot. There really are only a couple of possible directions to go and look for the door... Once inside the atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the service and prices are really excellent!
We started with the bruschetta and the shrimp and grits appetizers. The bruschetta was great and the shrimp and grits were ok. We then had the ribeye and filet. Both steaks were cooked as we ordered and the 11 cheese mac & cheese was outstanding. We did not make it to desert, but the meal was wonderful and I would say the Rickhouse is really a "not to be missed" restaurant for anyone going to Bardstown.

“Delicious dinner at great price.”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

A bit of a challenge to find - located in the basement of a school, but would never know it when you stepped inside. Great atmosphere, classy bourbon themed decor. M
We both had steak - 10 oz filet with 2 large sides for $18 dollars (menu prices from $12-30 for entrees) - which were delicious and prepared perfectly. For two people, splitting appetizer, glass of wine each, steak dinners, and splitting bourbon brownie for desert only $50. Would definitely visit again. Jeans and sweaters fine.

“Even when you know where it is , it's hard to find!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

It should be on a treasure map, X marks the spot. When you find it , you will be rewarded with a great dinner.
Service was great, everyone at the table had something different and everyone had nothing but compliments. Reasonable pricing for the quality of food and drink.
