My family of seven stayed here just before Christmas for two nights. The hosts are warm and the building a genuine log cabin. Breakfasts are good. Sleep was just ok - two bedrooms are on the front and get road noise from the local highway, another is near the center of the house and got overly hot as the heating is still through the central fireplace, and the "loft" was a children's bed above the kitchen. So this is a genuine and authentic experience, and you just need to know it before you go. It makes for good family stories.
