Central to many bourbon distilleries, we (2 couples) stayed during the New Year week. The Copper Smith Shop is right in the center of beautiful downtown Bardstown making it a perfect location to walk to restaurants and shops and a quick drive to many of the best Bourbon distilleries. The owner Kandice went out of her way to make certain we had everything we needed, including specialty coffee and fresh scones on our first morning- that's hospitality! We were celebrating our anniversary and a birthday so treated ourselves and had Kandice (trained chef) make us a special dinner- no exaggeration -the best dinner ever! The house was comfortable for 4 adults and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely return.
My friend and I were headed to KY for the bourbon trail. He booked this place and he couldn't have made a better choice. The owner, Kandice, will either let you enjoy yourself in peace or help you in anyway she could. With her chef training, we opted in for her to make dinner which was amazing! She also helped us to make the most of our short time there in seeing all the distilleries and the "must stops" in the area. The house is in the middle of town with a convenient walk to everything. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway or a nice house to rent with the help of a local expert like Kandice, you cannot go wrong!
Kandice was wonderful. She even cooked for us on New Years eve!!!!
The house was very cozy and had complete kitchen. At the heart of bourbon country nothing could have been more homey. Kandice knows everyone. Stay here and have good time.
What a stumble! I love this little house, it fit our family of four very nicely. The owner was prompt with answering questions and was very informative upon arrival.
The house though built in the 1700's is an eclectic beauty full of old and new. The special touches, right down to the perfect bouquet of zinnias and sprigs of fresh flowers throughout are a beautiful touch!
The house is VERY centrally located and there are tons of nice shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. This is a very historic, quaint little town.
The house is so cute I would buy it and stay here forever ;)
