“Excellent place to have a conference or meeting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful and scenic hotel located close to the action and overlooking the river in downtown. They have done a beautiful job of renovating and modernizing this historic hotel to bring it up to current nice hotel expectations.

There were many nice amenities including breakfast and happy hour featuring food that was adequate for dinner.

Our conference was reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There were enough restrooms that the line was shorter than in previous locations with the same women's conference during breaks. The place was immaculately clean, we even saw someone walk into a large window next to a door thinking they were double doors and one was open. Parking wasn't the best, but wasn't terrible for downtown either. There are free open air and paid garage options, both within reasonable distance, but it feels like a hike despite close proximity unless you are going to the restaurant or meeting rooms which are on the end of the building with the parking, the lobby and rooms are at the opposite end. The garage is across the street and not attached. Not bad, I have had worse parking situations at hotels, I sure wouldn't avoid staying there because of it. I would just plan to use the unloading zone at the front of the hotel off of Douglas when checking in and taking in luggage to avoid extra luggage hassle unless you are traveling light.

This was our first stay at a Drury and we picked it due to being pet friendly. We were EXTREMELY impressed with every single aspect of our stay. The staff went out of their way to help us, the facility decor was top notch, the room was VERY clean, the beds were great, the breakfast was FAR better the other hotels, and the evening "kick back" is wonderful....it saved us from going out to dinner after a long day on the road. We are definitely going to be looking for other Drury facilities when we travel. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.....with or without a pet!!!

We had a really great stay at this hotel last weekend. It is a lovely rennovated historic property. There is a nice restaurant on premises, and it was great to have two good dinners without leaving the hotel. On the down side: Front desk staff were not very helpful and were not up to the usual Drury standards all weekend long. Everyone and everything else about our stay was close to perfect.
Our rate was very low for a Drury Plaza, their premium brand. Unfortunately, once the Drury Plaza hotels are established the rates do tend to double and even triple. So I am not sure the good value will hold on this place. I recommend it highly, but I am guessing it won't be in our budget for a road hotel the next time we are in the area.

What a fantastic hotel. The rooms are clean clean clean. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The little extras are a treat. Popcorn and soda in the afternoon , amazing breakfast in the morning.
The staff will greet you with smiles and treat you wonderfully.
Highly recommended.

The Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview in Wichita, Kansas is a classic hotel with great charm, lovely appointments, and the friendliest staff in the near-west. Built in 1921 along the Chisholm Trail, and a popular railroad stop, the old Broadview became a gathering place for weary travelers and Wichita society. All were welcome, particularly in the lobby-level Crystal Ballroom… and the basement speakeasy!
Having recently benefitted from a $30 million renovation, the Drury Broadview is modern and comfortable. The renovation preserved beautiful crown molding, and charming nooks such as the mezzanine restaurant. Old pictures adorn the walls and overstuffed chairs in the lobby create great spots for conversation or reading. Just outside the hotel is the Arkansas River whose banks have been developed by the City into park-like walking and jogging trails.
High ceiling comfortable rooms are spacious. Oversized windows look out on the fair city, and allow light to fill the rooms. But, as delightful as the physical spaces can be, the real charm of this place is the staff. Ever person working at this hotel is happy to be there, and happier that YOU are there. One never passes a staff member without receiving a friendly greeting with a broad smile, and a kind word.
How nice it is to be appreciated at the Drury Broadview.

We enjoyed the elegance of the building and yet Drury still managed to make us comfortable in their family, pet friendly environment. The room was as expected and the facilities were Drury excellent all the way even though they were downtown and a little off the interstate. Yes I'd stay there again. The only negative was that I had to park on the street because of the 5x8 trailer I towed.

If you are looking for a newly renovated, clean, eco-friendly and reasonably priced hotel with excellent service, this is it. Free breakfast, kick-back (5:30 pm, free food and two free drinks), free Internet, popcorns and soda, and wonderful staff. We went to the kick-back and breakfast: the free food was fair, and we saw large crowds. We ended up leaving tips on the table because the staff were just amazing. The hotel provides covered parking ramp (with a small fee under $10), and it is connected to the hotel with a bridge. Overall, Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview is one of the best hotels I have stayed around the world. Check it out.
