I absolutely love this hotel! Everything from room cleanliness to staff friendliness, this is the place to stay in Wichita. We came here for business and it was one of the best places we stayed. On our first trip we stayed in the Hyatt which is really close and thought it was so fancy and would accept our government rate so why not. The Hyatt was beautiful and so nice but they charge for absolutely everything including wireless internet which is annoying. When we were coming back my co-worker stumbled upon this hotel and said the reviews were better and they didn’t charge for all the extras. We thought we would try it out and was I glad we did. The rooms are just as nice and fancy as the Hyatt but the overall experience was 10 times more enjoyable. Drury includes wireless internet, breakfast, and the “kick back”. Their breakfast is actually good including pancakes made in front of you, eggs, biscuits and gravy, organic granola, and tons of other choices. I can’t quite remember one of the woman’s name, I think Michelle maybe, I should have wrote this right after we went there but got too busy and now forgot but she was amazing. Super friendly, always remembers everyone and talks to you as if she really cares. The kick back is awesome, free drinks and snacks, how much better can this place get! You read a lot about Costello in these reviews and while at the “kick back” I saw a really friendly guy with everyone making sure everyone was great and said “I bet that is Costello” sure enough it was.
The exercise room was big and had a large variety of machines. They all looked rather new and in really good shape. Every machine has a remote for the same TV so it doesn’t matter where you go you can control the TV.
Also being from Seattle, we are all a little "green friendly", I loved the fact that instead of wasteful little plastic airplane bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner they have re-fillable dispensers in the shower. I know for some that may be a turn off but I think it was fantastic! I think little things like switching hotels to this method could really make an impact on the amount of waste that hotels produce. It seems like it would also lower the cost of those items to the hotel which could in turn be passed off to the consumer or for added amenities like the “kick back”.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and somewhat sad my work in Wichita is over. If there was ever a reason to come back to Wichita I would choose this hotel in a second.
