My sister and I were traveling to Wichita for a family function. We choose Wichita Marriott due to the excellent reviews of it online and due to its non-smoking policy. Turning off the Kansas Turnpike the driver is greeted with an excellent view of the Marriott. We then drove a few blocks and checked in, excellent friendly service. We enjoyed the pool, sunday brunch and friendly service at the Marriott. It was a beautiful looking hotel, rooms have recently been refurnished, flat screen TV, excellent, clean pool area

Pool area consisted of indoor pool that was connected to the outdoor pool, a large hot-tub, a work out room. This area was clean, well kept up and large.

There are very nice banquet areas and i saw a few weddings going on.

A very nice experience.

First off, I too was able to get this room for $50 via Priceline, but I have to say that it would have been worth it for twice that amount.

As with other posters, I also agree that the hotel's exterior is nothing too special, but the lobby was nice, and my room was VERY nice.

Overall, the room gave the impression that it was recently renovated, as all the furniture, bedding, art work, etc. seemed new and was very tastefully done (see pics attached) I especially enjoyed the new flat-screen TV, although HD would have been nicer.

One bad note was the bar tender/waiter in the sports lounge (don't recall his name): he was more interested in playing "Mr. Cool" and visiting with his friends than he was in keeping track of his customers.

Again, although my stay was very brief, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We booked this hotel through Priceline for $50. It was clean and the staff was helpful. I am not sure what the regular price is but it was a good hotel for one night. There were not many good choices for hotels in Wichita.

We stayed at the Wichita Marriott from July 23 through July 27, 2008. The room was a good size and comfortable. The building is pretty dated - think 70s style, but the beds are new and comfortable and the large flat-screen TVs are a nice touch. They were working on the exterior of the hotel during our stay and I believe they will continue to do so through September 2008.

There is a small exercise room with free weights, a Cybex machine, and some cardio-equipment. I was the only one who used the facility on an early Saturday morning. There is also a pool and whirlpool. The sauna was non-operational during our stay.

Would suggest that housekeeping spend a bit more time vacuuming the rooms. We found cashews and dental floss on the floor.

Overall, for $80 a night, it was a good deal and was convenient to all the different locations we needed to be at.

Good hotel, very easy to use business center, helpful staff. Pool was closed down when I visited.

There is a restaurant on site, and I ordered room service, which is fine. However, you have to drive to any other restaurants, etc.

From the outside, the hotel is nothing special. Plain cream colored building in the middle of an industrial park. But once you walk in it kind of takes your breathe away. Cherry appointed interiors, beautiful chandaliers, fresh flowers...wow. The staff was friendly and managed to remember my name. Then the room just catches you off guard. Its suprisingly modern. I really wanted to steal the chair and ottoman (a sassy red with yellow accents) . The bed was uber comfortable and the huge flatscreen television was an added bonus. Defnititly worth the money!!!

Just returned from the Marriott in Wichita. For the price range, we were pleased with the hotel. The desk staff was very helpful, the room was clean and nice. The beds with down comforters brought it up a notch. Although the hotel was full to capacity, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic and the staff was not overwhelmed. The indoor/outdoor pool was great for the kids. For an extra $10 on our room rate our entire family, 2 adult/3 kids ate breakfast which included fresh made omelettes and other hot items. All in all I would recommend this hotel.
