I went here with my husband and my mother-in-law and it was gorgeous. We had a nice long stroll through the whole place. Personally I found it very relaxing. It's a nice time out after a meal if you're looking for something interesting and relaxing to do.

Botanica is a wonderful garden area with displays that will please most everyone. In addition to extremely well kept gardens it has childrens features and activities as well. Botanica also has a tremendous display call Illuminations that takes place in December each year that has thousands of lights on display in the evening and also includes singers. I highly recommend Botanica if you are in Wichita.

Spriing, Summer, Fall, and Winter are all featured fabulous seasons at the Wichita, Kansas Botanical Gardens. The caretakers and gardeners at the Botanica do a marvelous job representing the four seasons that all of us Kansans enjoy. They choose very seasonal and colorful plants and flowers to showcase the midwestern seasons . . . . it is entirely enjoyable and worth the 4 hours it would take family members to stroll through and learn. Highly recommended.

We had not originally planned to visit Botanica but had some time at the end of the day so we decided to go. What a lovely surprise. The tulips were blooming everywhere; not too much else at the time. The walkways are lovely and they have the most adorable children's garden teeming with cute and colorful structures and such. It was delightful. If we were ever in the area we would like to return at a different time of year.

The garden's are wonderful for plant lover's. It has been a favorite of mine for lunch time quite reading and reflection. The new children's area is good for children ten and under but could us a bit more hands on for the older ones. A favorite is the butterfly inclosure with it's mature butterflies, wear a floral or citrus perfume and you will have them landing on you (check before going as the weather makes a difference as to when they are out). They have some very nice special activities, check the schedule for these.
