We stayed here on the first night of our family vacation. Kids loved the water slide and the rooms were good! Parking lot want plowed but they just got a good amount of snow and most of the town wasn't plowed yet. Very nice staff too!

This was a decent stop, clean not horribly fancy. They do have coffee and tea in the lobby at all times (nice bonus) We stayed in a kind suite with a hot tub, funny story is we looked forever to figure out how to turn the thing on an pretty much gave up.... hours later after dinner and nearly ready to call it a night spotted on the opposite wall and half way across the room a timer and viola, that was it.... directions or some indication would have been useful.

Location is a little off the main drag, but easy to get to and Salina isn't that big, to save $15 a night it was well worth the extra 2 minutes to get there.

I'm an Inspector on the pipeline so I travel quit a bit and stay in hotels all around the country. My first preference always when I go to a new city is to locate a Best Western to stay. I like my rate and the points I accumulate and since I'm a Diamond member the benefits that come that status is wonderful.

We stopped here on our way to MO, 12/11, and spent 1 night. We got in late, almost 11pm, but the front desk clerk was there to greet us and she was very friendly. I only wish I had remembered her name. This hotel looked brand new. It is a few miles south of the I 70. You feel like you're driving far off the road into the abyss, but it's just a few miles. It's smaller in person that it looks in the pictures, but it's very nice inside. The lobby was warm and inviting. There were some kind of refreshments set up, but we were too tired to partake of any. There are only 2 floors and we were on the 2nd. The colors in this hotel are browns and golds, rusts, and burnt oranges. It's different and has a warm feeling. The hallways are brightly lit, but in a warm light. Our room was a king bed. The room was very clean and the lighting was very nice, not harsh and white; the room was a good size with a king bed, large desk with a curved top and a very nice office-type chair. There was an easy chair and ottoman. This room had a separate room for the toilet and tub/shower, which was nice, BUT, that put the sink and vanity across from the bathroom on the opposite wall and out in front of the whole room-- and anyone who happened to be walking by, should someone open the door. The light from the vanity shines right into your face, if you're laying on the bed, and of course, lights up the whole room. The vanity has one sink and is very small. If you have a lot of toiletries to set out, good luck. But...the room was comfortable otherwise, great bed, nice pillows, good heater, tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, face and bath soap, but the bath soap is very small and skinny, so you might want to bring a bar of soap. The room had a full length mirror, nice closet, coffee maker. It did not have a microwave or fridge. There is a Casey General store right next door to the hotel, a Walmart back up the road. Did not see the pool or the workout room. The breakfast was great and there is a wonderful selection of things. The eggs were fab, but the dining room is small, with only about 6 tables. We really enjoyed our stay because of the warm welcome, the warm, nice colors and cleanliness of the place, the nice bed--oh, and a large, flat screen TV. No complaints, other than the location and smallness of the sink/vanity, which is the only reason I didn't give this an excellent rating. I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, cleanliness, and a larger than average-sized hotel room.
